They ended the 2022 season of Farmer Wants a Wife as a happy couple.
And now Farmer Will Simpson, 29, and his girlfriend Jess Cova, 27, are set to tie the knot.
On a joyous Friday, I proudly shared that my beloved and I are now engaged! In a heartfelt joint post on social media, we expressed our excitement: “I gratefully accepted the proposal, transitioning from being a farmer to becoming a fiancé. This extraordinary moment between us is truly unparalleled.
In the post, there was a collection of photos showing a joyful Jess displaying a stunning engagement ring.
One picture featured Will giving his bride-to-be a romantic ‘dip’ while sharing a passionate kiss.
Another photo showed Jess gazing proudly at her sweetheart.
Well-wishers filled the message board on the post with congratulations.
‘Congrats Jess!! So happy for you,’ wrote one follower.
“Extremely thrilled for you two! Congrats once more, sweethearts, let’s toast to the celebration,” remarked another friend, as a third chimed in with, “Long overdue! Jessica and Will, heartfelt congratulations to such an amazing pair.
The happy couple met during season 12 of Farmer Wants a Wife.
In the 2022 season finale, it was revealed that fourth-generation farmer Will had developed feelings for Jess while working on the show; he publicly declared his affection for her during this time.
Jess later moved onto Will’s farm in Berriwillock, Victoria.
Originally from Queensland, Jess entered FWAW while working as a dental nurse.
On a Wednesday, it was shared in The Australian Women’s Weekly that a former urban dweller has adjusted to country living and currently works as a nurse.
She has also joined the local netball team and works behind the bar at Will’s hometown pub.
During the final episode of FWAW, viewers found themselves biting their nails as Will faced a difficult decision, caught between Jess and Madi Simpson.
He admitted, while speaking to the camera, that he initially approached the subject of love and falling in love with a receptive attitude, but he never anticipated reaching the stage he currently finds himself at.
After carefully considering his feelings towards both women, Will came to the conclusion that his heart was truly with Jess.
As I envision my tomorrow, you’re a part of it – a piece I desire. I yearn for your presence. The truth is, I find myself increasingly drawn to you, and I long for the chance for us to try. I truly hope that you feel the same way.
