Luke Bryan Confesses He’s Mistaken for Blake Shelton and Talks Who’s Really Richer!

Luke Bryan has a multiple awards, a job as a judge on American Idol, and… a doppelganger. 

On Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the popular songwriter, aged 48, shared an amusing story from a recent encounter he had with another well-known bearded country artist at a gas station close to his Nashville residence. There was some mix-up regarding their identities.

‘One of the cashiers at the store thought I was Blake Shelton, which turned out to be the most embarrassing moment I’ve had in my neighborhood. I shared this story with the late-night host.’

‘He was so convinced,’ the Play It Again singer said.

‘He’s like, “You’re Blake Shelton. Tell me about being Blake Shelton.”

The attendant then asked ‘”Do you get that a lot?’ I said, “Not much,”‘ he recalled.

While one of Bryan’s sons observed the conversation, the singer clarified, ‘The man looked at me and said, “You resemble Blake Shelton,” and then he added, “Imagine having Blake Shelton’s wealth!”‘

‘I said, “Oh, what it must be like.”‘ 

‘Who does have more money? You or Blake Shelton?’ Kimmel asked. 

‘Me,’ the One Margarita stinger answered confidently. 

‘Do you know that for sure?’ Kimmel pressed.

‘Depends on if …Wikipedia is right,’ the Knockin’ Boots artist said with a smile. 

When asked if he had a helicopter like The Voice judge, Bryan answered, ‘I do.

‘Only because Blake called me and recommended that I ought to get one,’ he added. 

Due to Katy Perry’s space flight in a helicopter, I feel more assured about the possibility of venturing into space myself.

He commented that Perry’s experience seemed like an incredibly blissful journey through space, given his feelings of being deeply connected to love after their adventure.

I simply must understand the depth of her feelings,” I exclaimed, hinting at the possibility of my spacebound journey being contingent upon some intricate discussions. “Seize this opportunity,” I urged, for any escape from Earth’s grasp would be a delicate dance indeed.
