Actor William Levy arrested on charges of disorderly intoxication, trespassing at a Florida restaurant

On Monday, William Levy, a well-known telenovela actor who has also participated in “Dancing With the Stars,” was taken into custody in the greater Miami region due to accusations of being overly intoxicated in a public place and unlawfully entering private property, as court records disclosed.

Actor from “Triunfo del Amor” was apprehended following a report at a restaurant in Weston, Florida, a location north of Miami, during the wee hours of Tuesday morning, after authorities were called.

The individual named Levy, who was noticeably drunk and creating a commotion inside the restaurant, was issued a notice not to return to the establishment by the manager on duty, according to the report. Levy was repeatedly told to depart the premises as he refused to obey police instructions, eventually resulting in his arrest for trespassing after being warned.

Subsequently, Levy found himself remanded at the Broward County Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale, being kept under custody due to two distinct bail bonds totaling $250 each.

On Tuesday morning, the 44-year-old actor secured his release on bond, and subsequently spoke to a group of journalists outside the facility where he had been detained.

He shared that he was having beverages with the parents of his son’s baseball team, and unexpectedly, a passionate argument erupted among them – an argument he stated he wasn’t originally involved in.

In the next instant, a discussion among others erupted, as shared by Levy with the media. I found myself right in the midst of it, and eventually, it was me who was taken into custody.

The actor from “Cuidado con el Ángel” likewise debunked the notion that he physically engaged with someone during the reported incident at the restaurant, stating that no such physical confrontation occurred.

“There are cameras [that will show the truth],” Levy said.

The Times has reached out to Levy’s representatives for comment.

Entretenimiento

The Cuban actor shares credits with Samadhi Zendejas in a gritty series that begins with the kidnapping of a child, the pain of a mother, and the support of a man seeking justice. (This version maintains the original structure and meaning while using simpler language to make it easier to read.)

Originally born William Gutiérrez-Levy in Cuba, the actor migrated to Florida during his adolescent years and eventually established himself as a prominent star in telenovelas. His debut significant role in soap operas came in 2007 when he portrayed Larry Irázabal on “Acorralada.” Levy secured his first leading role in a novela with the 2008 series “Cuidado con el Ángel” and continued this success with an extended run of 90 episodes as the leading actor in “Sortilegio,” which premiered in 2009.

Since 2010, he has taken on the main acting roles in six different soap operas apart from this one, with his most recent appearance being in “Vuelve a Mí,” which was broadcasted on Telemundo and ended in the year 2024.

In 2011, I was honored with the title “Sexiest Man of the Year” by People en Español, and occasionally, people compare me to the Latino equivalent of Brad Pitt. Quite a compliment, wouldn’t you agree?

English-speaking viewers might be most familiar with Levy as he finished third on “Dancing With the Stars” in 2012. He has also appeared in various films, such as Tyler Perry’s 2014 dramedy “The Single Moms Club,” the 2016 film “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter,” and in a cameo for the 2017 comedy “Girls Trip.”
