As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but share the heart-pounding news: I’ve learned directly from the BBC that the production of season 2 for my favorite crime thriller, “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder,” has officially kicked off!
In a fresh Instagram video, author Holly Jackson joined actresses Emma Myers (playing Pip) and Asha Banks (as Cara), to reveal some exciting news together.
In an Instagram post labeled ‘behind-the-scenes’, the trio exclaims, “We’ve returned!” which essentially means the same as, “They’re back home.
Hello there! It’s a pleasure to welcome you to the season 2 of “A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder.” I’m delighted to return, and we have some intriguing murder mysteries and chaos in store for you!
Afterward, they disclose that they must go back to their duties, and Asha attempts to keep Emma there. Meanwhile, Holly humorously urges, “Emma, cease your resistance! Go, you’re the leading character! Go carry out your responsibilities. Off you go, little one.
She casually mentions it’s just an ordinary day at work, followed by a series of scenes captured during filming on location.
The series chronicles teenager Pip’s quest to uncover the truth behind a cold case murder of a fellow student from her town, which occurred several summers ago.
The first season premiered last year, with the show renewed for a second run in November.
In the following episodes, we’ll trace Pip’s journey post-resolution of the case, as her life undergoes significant changes, some of which are not entirely positive. She’s resolved to address the consequences and steer clear of further investigations.

In Season 2, Pip is led to unforeseen destinations as she grapples with the concept of fairness, veering even more away from her former “good girl” image, as suggested by the summary.
The initial season received praise and currently boasts a strong 83% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics at _Culturess_ describe it as an enjoyable, swiftly paced series that can transform even the most monotonous day into something much more engaging.
In our four-star assessment, Digital Spy stated that the series generates an exceptionally positive atmosphere, potentially outshining all other shows this year.
A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is available on BBC iPlayer.
