It appears that Konami’s eFootball 2025 is taking its gaming experience to the next level with the launch of the v4.4.0 update. In this post, we’ll delve into the refinements made to gameplay mechanics, player growth, and other aspects that you can look forward to.
eFootball 2025 v4.4.0 update: All updates and features discussed
AI Mode comes to eFootball League
One significant upgrade is introducing an innovative AI mode within the eFootball League. This allows you to measure your abilities against AI teams rather than diving right into Player versus Player matches. It’s essential to note that these AI teams aren’t just ordinary opponents; they are elite squads formed from other players’ Dream Teams and real user-created lineups.

Progressing higher in the hierarchy will become more challenging, mirroring the Campaign mode from the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) game series that you might recall. It’s a fascinating twist, and for those who prefer to steer clear of Player vs Player (PvP), there’s an alternative available.
More control over Player Management
Team management is receiving an exciting enhancement! Now, you have the ability to store an additional 500 players using a new Reserve Player System. These extra players won’t be included in your active roster and can only be deployed in matches once they’ve been transferred to the main slots. Training for these players is not available within this system.

Additionally, streamlining the process of managing your team has become even more convenient with the latest update. Now, you have the option to bulk-release players, making it possible to offload players immediately after acquiring new ones. Earlier, we could only release individual players by clicking on each one separately.
Targeted Skill Training arrives
One significant shift we’re implementing this time around is the introduction of Specialized Skill Training. Instead of acquiring skills randomly, you now have the option to select from distinct areas such as passing, dribbling, defending, or shooting. This means no more goalkeepers accidentally scoring with a low punt on your strikers!

This setup boosts your likelihood of mastering desired abilities, providing you with greater autonomy in shaping your team’s growth. You can obtain these capabilities through participation in the eFootball League and events. Additionally, it is now possible to remove skills from a particular player.
850 Million Downloads Campaign
Simultaneously with the update, there’s another initiative, referred to as the “Reach 850 Million Downloads Campaign“. This takes place from April 17 to May 8, 2025. During this period, you have the opportunity to collect a variety of rewards by completing campaign tasks and participating in unique events.

30 random rewards could potentially be earned throughout the Tour (18) and Challenge Events (12), though specific details haven’t been disclosed yet. Additionally, a special badge commemorating 850 million downloads, featuring MSN, is also expected. Moreover, an eFootball Impulse in-game kit, in-game resources, and GP have already been announced.
Antenna Display in Online Games
In the newest version, you’ll notice a fresh antenna symbol that pops up during multiplayer battles online using the client-server setup. This symbol indicates the live quality of your link to the game server in real time. Since it displays individual players’ connections, the icon might appear distinct on various screens.

Following the game, you’ll see a visual representation in the form of a graph that illustrates how your connection fluctuated throughout the event. The horizontal axis represents the duration of the game, while the vertical axis indicates the level of stability in your connection. A higher graph indicates a more stable connection, whereas a lower or irregular one suggests instability.
