New Casting Details Surface For Hideo Kojima’s ‘Physint’

Summary

  • According to recent reports, casting details for Hideo Kojima’s new game Physint have leaked
  • The project is allegedly operating under the internal codename “Shimmer”
  • Calls point to a hijacked bus scenario and a villain compared to Mads Mikkelsen’s Hannibal

Hideo Kojima’s studio, Kojima Productions, is starting to cast actors for their new game, Physint. MP1st reports they’ve found details about the casting process for the action-espionage game, which is currently known internally as “Shimmer.”

Recent casting calls suggest Mari Ueda, who founded the motion capture company Pivot Motion, will be leading the casting process. Documents show the studio is currently seeking actors for a scene involving a hijacked bus. They’re reportedly looking for a mother with a newborn baby, five teenagers from diverse backgrounds, and two other male passengers to play bus riders.

Okay, so the biggest thing from this leak is they’re looking for a seriously creepy villain. Apparently, they want someone ‘quiet and intense,’ but also really self-assured… in a totally unsettling way. And get this – they need a German accent! They’re using Mads Mikkelsen from ‘Hannibal’ as inspiration – like that same calm, cold-blooded killer vibe – but they want this guy to be a bit more flashy and stylish about it. Sounds like a really interesting, and terrifying, character!

Stay tuned for more details.
