The Strokes are hitting the road with a huge world tour and will also be releasing their seventh album, Reality Awaits. It’s their first new music since the well-received The New Abnormal in 2020, and fans can expect both exciting new songs and energetic live shows.
The band will kick off a huge world tour in June to celebrate their new release. They’ll be playing at famous venues like The O2 in London, Accor Arena in Paris, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre (with two shows!). Several great artists will join them on stage as supporting acts on certain nights, including Thundercat, Cage the Elephant, Hamilton Leithauser, Fat White Family, Alex Cameron, and ÖLÜM. They’re also scheduled to perform at major festivals like Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, and Summer Sonic in Japan.
The Strokes are releasing their new album, Reality Awaits, on June 26th through Cult Records/RCA Records. It was recorded in Costa Rica with renowned producer Rick Rubin. They’ve already shared the first single, “Going Shopping,” and the album cover features a famous 1989 artwork by Richard Prince called Untitled (Cowboy).
The new album, Reality Awaits, will be released on June 26th through Cult Records/RCA Records. Tickets for the world tour go on sale to the general public this Friday, April 17th, after a presale starting this Wednesday, April 15th. You can find a complete list of dates below.
