Richard Dormer, known for his role in The Day of the Jackal, is coming back to the BBC police drama Blue Lights for its fourth season. He left the show in season one after his character, Detective Constable Gerry Cliff, was fatally shot by a local criminal during a patrol.
The BBC hasn’t released any details surrounding Dormer’s return to series.
The Game of Thrones actor won’t be the only familiar face appearing in the police drama. Hannah McClean, known for Malpractice, will return as solicitor Jen Robinson, and Jonathan Harden will reprise his role as the disgraced Inspector Jonty. According to a BBC statement, an upcoming episode will reveal answers to lingering questions from the show’s history.
