Ash Galati Pulls Crash Victim from Flipped Car!
Ash Galati, the groom from Married At First Sight, unexpectedly gained local acclaim when he courageously rescued a driver from a flipped vehicle in Melbourne on a recent Monday.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve found myself twice ensnared in harrowing crash situations, each time leaving me awestruck and shaken to the core. It’s as if fate keeps putting me in the path of danger, yet somehow, it’s always this heroic spectacle that unfolds right before my eyes.
On the side of the road, the reality TV star found himself amidst sudden turmoil, happening mere steps away from where he was seated.
‘I actually pulled over to upload a reel,’ Ash, 35, told Daily Mail Australia.
If I had been standing, I might as well have been underneath it. While making a phone call on the roadside, the car in front of me was involved in a severe accident and ended up flipping over, nearly touching my vehicle’s window.
Without hesitation, the 2024 MAFS groom jumped into action.

He quickly exited, dashed towards the overturned vehicle to verify if someone was still alive – and indeed they were, so he managed to extract them.
Striking photos captured at the accident site display a flipped-over vehicle situated smack in the midst of a bustling street. The underside of the car is visible, and a substance seems to be seeping from it onto the sidewalk below.
Incredibly, Ash says it’s not the first time he’s witnessed a similar incident.
‘The same thing happened two weeks ago with [a] different driver,’ he revealed.
‘Bro, it’s actually hectic, ’cause if he landed on me I was prob[ably] dead.’
The selfless deed he performed is being likened to that of fellow Married at First Sight (MAFS) celebrity Awhina Rutene, who assisted an injured motorcyclist during the show’s filming in October.
This event unfolds during a surge of public bravery, as former Victorian MP Timothy Smith garnered attention this week by pursuing a teen wielding a machete in Melbourne’s Kew area.
On a Friday afternoon, Smith, who was inside his campaign office, overheard screams coming from outside. Upon turning, he spotted five youths fleeing the scene. Two of them had their faces concealed with balaclavas, while one brandished a knife.

He acknowledged that the teenager got off to a strong beginning, but he eventually caught up to the boy after the latter abandoned his weapon.
A bystander held one of the young men there until officers arrived, as the rest of them left the area, according to a representative from Victoria Police who spoke with Daily Mail Australia. They further stated that the teen was taken into custody and will be questioned later on.
When it comes to Ash, people on social media are showering him with praise for his bravery and calmness. Many even refer to him as a living superhero.
‘Forget TV drama — this guy’s the real deal,’ one follower wrote.
