Reality TV personality JoJo Siwa has made it clear about her sexual orientation, addressing speculation that arose from her playful interactions with Chris Hughes on Celebrity Big Brother.

21-year-old reality TV personality, previously known as Dance Moms star, who publicly identified as pansexual last year and more recently referred to herself as gay in media conversations, has been in a relationship with Kath, a person identifying as non-binary, since November.

However, JoJo has sparked some curiosity lately due to her growing friendship with Chris, a fellow Celebrity Big Brother housemate and Love Island alum of 32 years old. They have been spotted snuggling in bed at night and intertwining fingers.

Two hours prior to stepping into the renowned house, JoJo openly declared her sexual orientation and expressed affection for her partner Kath.

On Paul C Brunson’s podcast “We Need To Talk,” during a recent episode released on Tuesday, he initiated the conversation by saying: ‘Let’s discuss sexuality and personal identity, the path we take.’

She responded: ‘One I’m still on for sure. I never thought twice about anything.’ 

Reflecting further on my past, I recalled having an exceptional friend when I was sixteen. We first crossed paths on a cruise ship. Intrigued, I asked her about the moment she recognized her sexuality. At that time, she was fifteen and stated, “I’m not gay. I have a boyfriend.” I found myself doubting this, responding with, “No way, buddy!

She displayed a photo of her partner, who happened to be the very first girl I had ever encountered. Intrigued, I found myself remarking, “You seem to be a lesbian.” Although I’d never met a girl quite like her before, my intuition told me she was one. Eventually, we forged a strong friendship instead.

Approximately half a year had passed when she returned to me, saying, “Hello, there seems to be something I need to share with you.” It happened to be the month of June, which is recognized as Pride Month.

In a conversation we had, she expressed her thoughts, saying, “I believe you were correct about something.” It turned out to be about her sexual orientation, as she shared, “I think I have a strong preference for women.” Unfortunately, I reacted in a way that was not respectful or considerate by immediately acknowledging this. I should have neither pressured her nor made assumptions. However, I had unfortunately done just that.

‘And two months later, she became my first girlfriend.’

JoJo continued to elaborate, sharing that at that moment, he was straight and she inquired, “Do you have a crush on anyone currently? Would you share who it is with me?” To which he responded, “No,” and for the entire week, she persistently asked him about his feelings.

She asked, “Can you simply tell me if it’s a boy or a girl,” and she was the one I confided in when I shared, “I have a crush on a girl.” To which she responded, “I suspected as much. I knew your concern for my sexuality indicated that you too were gay.

In a recent heart-to-heart conversation, I found myself confessing to my mother about feelings that had been growing deeper than friendship towards someone. With an honesty that’s become synonymous with me, I admitted, “Mum, I must confess – it’s more than just friendship for me.” Her intuition proved spot on as she simply responded, “I suspected as much.

2021 saw her making a public debut, where she disclosed that Elton John had contacted her personally. He managed to get her number and reached out to her. Primarily, he expressed his pride in her and offered his congratulations.

Initially, I believed everything seemed favorable… but as I continued scrolling, I found myself utterly astonished, almost speechless. It wasn’t that I was taken aback by the rudeness directed towards me personally. Instead, it was a shock to realize that, unfortunately, there still exists a considerable amount of homophobia in our society.

Expressing her delight, she said about Kath: “They are an incredibly wonderful and beautiful partner. I can’t believe I managed to win them over at all.

‘With Kath, I just trust them beyond trust.’

She expressed that her ambition is to become a mother, as she has nurturing inclinations that have been present within her since she was twelve years old.

Kath has faced harsh ridicule online, as internet trolls have falsely accused her of being unfaithful with Chris during their time together in Celebrity Big Brother.

The duo has frequently been observed nestled together at night, with Chris gently patting JoJo’s back, while an audience following a live stream noticed that she often slept beside his bed, even on the floor.

However, others came to JoJo’s defense, asserting that the relationship with Chris was strictly platonic, and criticizing viewers who doubted the dancer’s sexual orientation.

Mockingly addressing Kath, they posted: “It seems Chris and Jojo have taken over as the UK’s beloved pair now 💖”; or more casually, “Looks like Chris and Jojo are stealing the spotlight from you two, girl.” The second comment implies infidelity in her relationship.

On live TV, Jojo was unfaithful to you, but one can only wonder about their actions in private.”

Supporters of the young star and Kath defended her by saying: “It’s absolutely not true that they are entering Kath’s comments to ridicule her about Jojo being a lesbian getting close to a straight man.
