Junya Watanabe Man, a renowned designer, has teamed up with two iconic brands – Japanese vintage shop BerBerJin from the vibrant Harajuku district of Tokyo and American denim giant Levi’s – for a stunning three-way collaboration. This is their second venture together, having initially collaborated for the Spring/Summer 2022 collection, where they applied their unique print transfer method onto vintage Levi’s jeans.
Junya Watanabe Man, a designer, has partnered with BerBerJin (a Japanese vintage shop) and Levi’s (an American denim brand) for a joint project. They first collaborated last year, using a special print transfer technique on old Levi’s jeans.
In their third partnership, BerBerJin presents two styles of transfer prints on a denim jacket and jeans duo. The initial design adorns a 507XX and a 70505 denim jacket. To widen the collaboration, they’ve added a pair of boyfriend-fit 501XX jeans and vintage boot cut 607 jeans. Each item carries an individual charm due to varying color fading and aging because they are created using 3D digital printing with authenticity from rare vintage Levi’s pieces.
The three-way collection drops on April 18 at select eYe Junya Watanabe MAN retailers.
