Atomic Keyboard Unveils ‘Severance’-Inspired Keyboard With a Missing Escape Key

Enthusiasts of Apple TV+’s “Severance” can now replicate a bit of Lumon Industries atmosphere at home, thanks to a newly released keyboard reminiscent of the one utilized by the Macrodata Refinement Team (MDR).

Modeled after the Data General “Dasher” terminal from 1977, this keyboard closely mirrors its on-screen counterpart in design. It boasts the same off-white and blue color scheme, a chunky retro aesthetic, and a trackball on the right side. Atomic Keyboard designed it to be fully operational with a 73-key, 70% layout, but the omission of certain keys such as Escape, Control, and Option is no oversight. Instead, it intentionally reflects the show’s unsettling motifs by recreating their absence on the keyboard.

As excitement builds around Season 2 of Severance, and fans organizing real-life events, Apple momentarily jumped into the fray by posting a fictitious “Lumon Terminal Pro” on their site. Although you can’t buy this model, this keyboard is an excellent alternative.

You can preorder it now through Atomic Keyboard’s website.
