Nick Carter Breaks Silence Amid Shocking Rape Allegations and Lawsuit

As a lifestyle advisor, I find myself compelled to address recent allegations against musician Nick Carter. According to reports, he stands accused of repeatedly raping a woman who was 19 at the time their sexual relationship began. These accusations are deeply troubling and necessitate careful attention and investigation. It’s crucial for everyone to remember that all parties involved should be treated with respect and fairness throughout this process.

45-year-old singer from the Backstreet Boys is facing a lawsuit filed by a woman named Laura Penly. The charges include sexual assault, as well as causing emotional distress both intentionally and negligently. In addition, she alleges that he infected her with several sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), as reported by TMZ based on obtained documents.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Carter’s representative for comment.

The most recent allegation against the boy-band member arises following numerous claims of sexual misconduct made by several women over the past few years.

Through their lawyers Liane K. Wakayama and Dale Hayes Jr., Carter countered the current accusations, stating they are without merit.

They told TMZ that Penly’s lawsuit is essentially just more of the same baseless claims, intended to cause the greatest harm possible to Nick and his family.

According to Penly, she met Carter in 2004 when she was 19 years old.

She claims that during a span of several weeks, they initiated a mutually agreed-upon romantic involvement. This relationship involved meetings at an apartment in Los Angeles, where they’d spend quality time together and engage in intimate moments.

The plaintiff claims she asked Carter to wear a condom when they were intimate.

However, he allegedly refused and said that he was ‘clean,’ meaning he was free of any STDs.

As per Penly’s account, she went to her LA apartment in the year 2005 at an early point, however, she informed Nick that she wasn’t interested in having sexual intercourse on that particular day.

In my account, I supposedly informed her that our sole purpose for being at the apartment was to engage in intimate activities together.

According to Penly, the Backstreet Boys member picked her up and tossed her onto his bed.

She claims he forced her onto the edge of the bed, entering her from behind while she repeatedly told him “no.”

She alleges that he made her lie on the side of the bed and had sex with her from behind despite her constant refusals.

Penly claims that Carter did not use a condom when he allegedly raped her.

Subsequently, she claims that he instructed her not to mention the rape incident since no one would believe her.

Even though their separation was painful, she asserted that Carter contacted her a few months afterwards, expressing regret and inviting her back for another visit.

However, according to Penly’s account, the following encounter in Los Angeles seemed to mirror the previous incident, as she asserted that she once more declined Carter’s advances when he led her to his bedroom.

In her legal claim, she asserts that she declined his advances on numerous occasions. Subsequently, it is alleged that he forcefully violated her, following which she repeatedly implored him to desist.

Apart from the distress caused by the alleged sexual assault, Penly claims she also struggled with being diagnosed with several sexually transmitted diseases, which she alleges were contracted from Carter.

In my passionate fervor, I asserted in my legal battle that I had always practiced safe sex before my romance with Carter, suggesting strongly that he was possibly responsible for any unexpected circumstances.

It’s reported that she purportedly showed a positive result for Human Papillomavirus (HPV), chlamydia, and gonorrhea. Moreover, it’s been stated that she has been diagnosed with cervical cancer.

A significant number of cervical cancer cases can be attributed to Human Papillomavirus (HPV), as indicated by the Mayo Clinic. However, it’s important to note that the majority of women who carry this virus will not actually develop cervical cancer.

In her legal case, Penly asserts that Carter passed on the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) to her, an incident she believes eventually caused her to contract cervical cancer.

Due to her illness, Penly underwent surgery and endured cancer therapies.

Additionally, she asserts that the alleged sexual assaults caused a range of difficulties for her, such as emotional turmoil, physical pain, health concerns, and challenges with intimacy, along with several other troubles.

Penly is seeking damages from Carter in her lawsuit.

The singers’ legal representatives, Liane K. Wakayama and Dale Hayes Jr., issued a statement to TMZ, stating: ‘This is yet another round of baseless accusations from the group of conspirators and their lawyers, who persistently misuse the legal system in an attempt to tarnish Nick Carter’s reputation. It follows the same familiar pattern – lying in ambush for decades until Nick achieves a professional achievement, then using litigation privilege to spread unfounded allegations with the intention of causing the maximum harm to Nick and his family.’

As per the statement made by Carter’s lawyer, Carter claims to have no recollection of ever encountering Penly or engaging in any kind of sexual relationship with him.

It’s additionally claimed that the person making the accusations has faced financial difficulties in the past, filed for bankruptcy, and has been involved in lawsuits alleging fraud.

It’s worth noting that several women who have made allegations of sexual assault against Carter have also claimed they later tested positive for HPV.

In 2022, Shannon ‘Shay’ Ruth asserted that she received a positive result for Human Papillomavirus (HPV) following an alleged sexual assault incident involving her, which reportedly took place on a tour bus back in 2001.

In 2023, singer Melissa Schuman filed a lawsuit against Carter, claiming that he had sexually assaulted her in Los Angeles in 2002. She alleged that he coerced her, who was then 18 years old, to perform and receive oral sex from him when he was 22.

She also claimed to have tested positive for HPV after the alleged incident.

In 2003, another woman alleged that Carter had sexually assaulted her on a yacht, and this woman further asserted that she contracted HPV (Human Papillomavirus) after the incident. This happened while several men were present.

Carter has denied all of the accusations and has launched lawsuits against his accusers.

In February 2023, he filed a lawsuit against Ruth, alleging that she caused the Backstreet Boys to lose approximately $2.35 million due to her accusations.

In his lawsuit, he mentioned Schuman, asserting that she had tutored Ruth. Later on, in August of 2024, he filed a counterclaim against Schuman.

Last April, Schuman and other women accusing Carter of sexual misconduct were featured in the documentary “Fallen Idols”. This film not only focused on Carter but also delved into the battle with drug addiction faced by his late brother, Aaron Carter.

Prior to Aaron’s death, he publicly spoke out in support of the women accusing his older brother.
