Claire Richards’ Secret Vinted Side Hustle Earns Her £10,000!
Claire Richards has reportedly made a jaw-dropping £10,000 from her Vinted side hustle.
The singer, 47, already has a hugely successful career under her belt as Steps’ lead vocalist.
Yet, Claire has discovered an alternative means of earning substantial income; she’s been successful at selling her designer garments on a used clothing resale platform.
As per her profile details, the user named princessclarabella, known for being a ‘Tragedy hitmaker’, has managed to sell nearly 600 items on Vinted ever since she started in April 2023.
Not only has she demonstrated her ability as an excellent salesperson, but she has also earned five-star ratings and amassed a following of 4,219 people.
According to The Sun, she has accumulated a total of £10k through the sale of various items such as clothing, footwear, kitchenware, and Jellycats.

In an update on Facebook made in April 2023, Claire shared her enthusiasm about joining the digital marketplace earlier.
At that moment, she couldn’t contain her excitement and exclaimed: “I’ve joined VINTED! It’s fantastic! I can’t get enough. Many beautiful items have been added today, for both women and children.
It is clear that Claire’s webpage has drawn a lot of interest from her fans, given the high demand for the designer items she’s offering, such as outfits she wore during performances and costumes from Steps’ music video clips.
In her latest post, you’ll find a stylish gray two-piece set featuring a jacket resembling a House of CB blazer paired with a custom-made skirt. She sported this outfit in a video from 2021.
In her explanation, she wrote: ‘I tailored this piece as a part of my attire for the Heartbreak in This City video featuring Michelle Visage. It’s a collector’s item.’
‘There are a few snips and raw edges to make it work for the outfit. The skirt is pvc and lace up.’
This other item, a golden midi dress labeled as ‘Steps memorabilia’, is mentioned by Claire as the one she wore during the Light Up The World Christmas tour in 2012.
Last June, Claire criticized record companies for the harsh treatment the band experienced during their ’90s peak period.
The vocalist was part of an immensely popular band that included Lee Latchford-Evanst, Lisa Scott-Lee, Faye Tozer, and Ian ‘H’ Watkins from 1997 to 2002, leading them to top the music charts during this period. They later reconvened in 2011.
In the Table Manners podcast, I shared that during the peak of their success, this renowned band – switching labels multiple times over their illustrious career – afforded themselves merely two weeks of rest each year, emphatically declaring it as a relentless cycle of ‘work, work, work’.
It seemed there was no break or pause from it whatsoever. The longest we might have taken a break was perhaps two weeks, but that would have been exceptional.
Expressing her concern for the group’s welfare, she stated: ‘Often, someone is arranging schedules from within an office at a record label without giving much thought to the individuals who are affected by these plans.’
In addition, she disclosed that the heavy workload along with internal conflicts among band members were key factors contributing to the original breakup of their group.
It seems likely that what you’re experiencing is simply burnout. There were tensions and events that may have escalated due to our constant pressure.
Since getting back together in 2011, the group has issued four studio albums along with five concert tours. One of these tours is planned to mark their 25th anniversary.
