New Banjo-Kazooie? Crash 4 and Spyro Reignited Studio Toys for Bob Would ‘Love’ To Work on That
The team behind multiple Skylanders games, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy has voiced a wish to revive the seemingly forgotten Banjo-Kazooie series.
In a recent conversation on YouTube with ‘Canadian Guy Eh’ (via VGC), Studio Head Paul Yan mentioned one of the thrilling prospects of being independent, referring to the team’s departure from Activision the previous year.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled about the possibility of deepening my collaboration with an existing partner – Team Xbox. They’ve proven to be an exceptional team to work with, and their diverse cast of characters offers endless possibilities for creative exploration that Toys for Bob could really sink their teeth into.
Yan subtly suggested Banjo by saying, “The first character who pops into my head is the Honey Bear. Don’t you guys think it’s about time Banjo woke up from his long winter nap?
Ever since Banjo-Kazooie took its winter nap following the release of Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts on the Xbox 360 way back in November 2008, and then again when it was reintroduced as part of Rare Replay for Xbox One in 2015, I’ve been longing for its return. It feels like it’s about time!
