Sophie Monk Survives Thailand Earthquake, Lands in Sydney Looking Casual

Sophie Monk arrived safely in Sydney following a nerve-wracking vacation in Thailand, during which she experienced a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that was quite frightening.

On Monday, the 45-year-old television personality was seen at Sydney Airport along with her husband Joshua Gross. They both appeared fashionable yet comfortable, as she maneuvered a cart overflowing with suitcases through the arrival hall.

Sophie flaunted her athletic physique, acquired from the gym, in a snug, white scoop-necked top and form-fitting gray leggings, complementing them with chunky white sports shoes.

She put on a cropped white cardigan adorned with colorful stripes – red, green, and black – on its sleeves, adding a burst of vibrancy to her outfit.

Her golden hair was arranged in gentle curls without any makeup, showcasing her raw, natural charm.

After departing from the airport, Sophie changed her cardigan into an oversized denim jacket. Accompanied by Joshua, he opted for a relaxed look with a white polo shirt, coordinating cap, and dark shades.

The couple appeared to have travelled light, carrying three suitcases each.

At some point during their journey, this pair was spotted at a McDonald’s within the terminal, grabbing a speedy meal before they returned home to rest and recuperate from the tumultuous emotions experienced on their trip.

Just a few days ago, Sophie disclosed that she went through a very troubling experience while in Bangkok when an earthquake struck Thailand and Myanmar towards the end of last month. This incident was recently reported.

Sophie reminisced about the petrifying instant an earthquake occurred as she resided on the 52nd floor of a Bangkok hotel, by posting an unedited video of that incident on Instagram.

She shared with her audience that she had never encountered anything similar before. What she just lived through was undeniably the most terrifying earthquake, as can be seen in a video clip taken from the street shortly after she fled the building, clearly distressed.

The entire structure was swaying from side to side. We found ourselves moving on our stomachs. It was quite intense, she remarked.

Hurrying down the emergency stairway, I managed to escape. Boy, that was a pulse-pounding moment! Frankly, I’d prefer not to find myself back inside it anytime soon!

Later on, Sophie shared a soothing message, sent from a nearby massage center, featuring an image of a Thai masseuse working on her feet. She was attempting to unwind and relax following the stressful incident.

At about 1:30 in the afternoon, local time, a powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake occurred, causing turmoil in towering structures located in downtown Bangkok.

A second tremor measuring 6.4 struck just 12 minutes later.

Officials in Thailand announced an emergency situation, as structures trembled, subway operations were halted, and people filled the streets with fear.

Aussie embassies across the region were placed on high alert.

A representative from DFAT stated to Daily Mail Australia that they are keeping a close eye on the humanitarian crisis and strongly advised any Australians requiring immediate consular help to reach out to their round-the-clock hotline.
