To celebrate 30 years of its Overseas collection – known for being a stylish travel watch – Vacheron Constantin introduces the Overseas Dual Time Cardinal Points. This new model is made entirely of lightweight, strong titanium, building on the technology used in extreme prototypes tested by explorer Cory Richards on Mount Everest. The 41mm case and bracelet have a matte anthracite grey finish, emphasizing the signature Maltese Cross and reflecting the watch’s adventurous design.

Its unique dial, tilted at a 45-degree angle, was originally favored by drivers for its clear readability and is now paired with a dark blue calfskin strap that subtly fades in color.

The new models come in 36.5mm and 40mm cases crafted from 18k pink gold. They’re remarkably slim, measuring just 7.41mm thick, thanks to the hand-wound Calibre 4400 AS movement. This beautifully finished movement, featuring Côtes de Genève detailing and the prestigious Hallmark of Geneva, is positioned inside the case to complement the unique dial design. These watches connect the brand’s 270-year heritage with modern accuracy and water resistance.

Métiers D’Art Tribute to Great Civilisations

A unique feature of these watches is the intricate detail of their central designs, which are now hand-carved from stone using tiny, precise tools and microscopes – a departure from the traditional use of gold.

The Akhénaton bust pays tribute to ancient Egypt with a sculpted portrait made from sandstone found in Sinai, highlighted by a turquoise band and a delicate inner border of tiny stone tiles with red mother-of-pearl and blue sodalite. In contrast, the Sargon II Lamassu model celebrates the Assyrian Empire with a winged bull carving in Italian sandstone, mounted on a base of enamel work and detailed stone inlays featuring red agate and blue dumortierite.
