New Xbox ‘Wake Up’ Ad Directed by David Fincher Features CG Rats Yearning to be Human

Microsoft’s latest ad titled ‘Wake Up’ features a computer-generated rat character named Horatio, who embarks on a journey to regain his human qualities by experiencing the delight of gaming with Xbox.

As a devoted admirer, I’m eager to share some exciting news about an upcoming production. Directed by the brilliant mind behind Fight Club, Se7en, and Mank – David Fincher – and in collaboration with Romain Chassaing, this masterpiece is being hailed as a uniquely whimsical modern-day fairy tale. The story unfolds when my character, Horatio, fires up his Xbox on the stunning Samsung OLED TV, ready to connect with friends in a world that’s sure to captivate us all!

In this advertisement, we accompany Horatio as he navigates the daily grind: a congested commute, the monotony of work in the office, and a quick meal eaten at his desk. However, the routine is occasionally disrupted by glimpses of enigmatic gamers – the only humans noticeable amidst the crowd, reminiscent of rats.
