Duskfade is a ‘Love Letter’ to Classic 3D Platformers Coming to Xbox Series X|S in 2026
Fireshine Games has unveiled the upcoming 3D action-platformer game titled “Duskfade“. This game draws inspiration from popular series such as Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, and Banjo-Kazooie. Unfortunately, it’s not due out until next year.
In this game, you assume the role of a young apprentice named Zirian, embarking on a journey to reclaim daylight in a world engulfed by perpetual darkness. Navigate through the game’s “clockpunk” universe using moves like jumping, swinging, grappling, gliding, and slashing. Your goal is to break free from the constraints of time, offering a gaming experience that merges nostalgia with contemporary mechanics.
In this captivating game, you’ll explore a richly varied world filled with “mystical woodlands, submerged domains, sunlit deserts, and foggy peaks.” Unravel the mysteries hidden within as you journey through a “permanent tale of maturation,” delving into themes such as grief and bravery.
At the independent studio Weird Beluga, the game titled “Duskfade” is currently under production and slated for release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in the year 2026.
