Aubrey Plaza gets into nesting mode as she checks out stroller after announcing pregnancy with Christopher Abbott

Aubrey Plaza, who is expecting her first child, is starting to prepare her home for the baby’s arrival.

I’m hearing wonderful news – the incredibly talented actress, who’s 41, is expecting a baby with Christopher Abbott, 40! It’s such a heartwarming development, especially as it comes a little over a year after the tragic loss of her husband, Jeff Baena. It’s lovely to see her finding happiness again.

Plaza was walking her dog while wearing grey sweatpants when she saw a woman pushing a child in a stroller.

The mom-to-be took note of the four-wheeler, sizing it up through her black sunglasses.

I’m all about comfortable style, and recently I was spotted rocking a cozy white fleece pullover – the quarter-zip style is perfect! I paired it with a classic beige baseball cap to complete the look. It’s a great way to stay comfy and casual, and it worked well with a little something to hide, if you know what I mean!

Plaza completed her comfortable outfit with white socks and light purple New Balance sneakers.

The star broke her silence on her pregnancy in a Smartless podcast episode shared on Monday.

She announced to Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, and Sean Hayes, ‘I’m pregnant!’

Plaza had a busy day with medical appointments – for both herself and her dog. They both had scans done today; she had hers earlier, and her dog is getting one right now. She emphasized that she’s being completely honest about the situation.

She recently had an ultrasound and discovered she’s pregnant. Then, I had one too, and it confirmed I’m going to be a parent!

With her usual playful wit, she quipped, ‘It’s already got a disguise and a tiny hat, so I think it’s ready to be born!’

You know, people keep asking me how I feel about becoming a mom for the first time, and honestly, I am so excited! It’s something I’ve always dreamed of and I’m really curious to experience all that motherhood has to offer. It feels like a whole new adventure!

Plaza and Abbott were photographed together last week, marking their first public appearance since announcing they are expecting a baby.

The group was photographed enjoying the opening night afterparty for the Broadway revival of Death of a Salesman, held at Katz’s Deli in New York City.

Prior to announcing their exciting baby update, they had kept their romance under wraps.

The couple collaborated for the first time in 2019 on the independent film Black Bear. They later worked together again on a stage revival of Danny And The Deep Blue Sea, which was performed from October 2023 to January 2024.

In January 2025, Baena’s body was discovered after he took his life at age 47.

According to an autopsy report from the LA County Medical Examiner, obtained by DailyMail.com, Plaza and the screenwriter had split up in September 2024.

She was living in New York when he was found in Los Angeles on January 3.
