Beatles Biopic Casting Secrets
Actress Aimee Lou Wood, well-known for her role in White Lotus, is said to have been chosen to portray Pattie Boyd, the first wife of George Harrison, in upcoming Beatles biographical films.
31-year-old star from Sex Education is rumored to portray the model, known for being at the heart of some of rock and roll’s most legendary love triangles.
In 1966, at the tender age of 21, Pattie tied the knot with George Harrison from The Beatles, however, she subsequently moved on and separated from him to be with their mutual friend, renowned singer Eric Clapton.
Following Amiee’s captivating act during the third season of The White Lotus, she has emerged as the top contender for the role of Pattie in the forthcoming biopics, primarily due to her strong physical resemblance to the character, with Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn cast as George.
According to a source, The Sun reports that Aimee is an exceptional actress. There’s a striking resemblance between her and Pattie in terms of their appearances, but what truly sets Aimee apart is her extraordinary storytelling ability. She is widely recognized as one of the nation’s most talented actors.
Last week’s news revealed that Paul Mescal has been cast to play Paul McCartney in a Sam Mendes film, with Harris Dickinson portraying John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Joseph taking on the role of George.

One intriguing example of remarkable love triangles in the realm of British music nearly shattered the camaraderie between two celebrated musical icons.
Though I had shattered George’s heart with my departure to be with our mutual friend Eric, a gesture that still haunts me, I received a message from him later on. It was a token of his forgiveness, a testament to the love he held for me even in the face of my transgressions.
George was captivated by Pattie’s charm and elegance, which inspired him to write a love song specifically for her.
However, it’s well-known that Eric too found himself captivated by her allure, as he penned the renowned song “Layla” – a composition depicting unfulfilled affection – while Pattie was yet to be divorced from his friend.
Pattie stated that she felt overlooked by George following their eight-year long marriage, as she chose to leave him. However, she carried a heavy burden of remorse for ending the relationship.
In the upcoming Beatles biopic series, a love triangle could unfold across four separate films, each centered around one band member, with all films scheduled for release in April 2028.
Earlier this month at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas, I was thrilled to learn that Sony has finally announced the cast for their upcoming quartet of Beatles-themed productions: John Lennon (Paul), George Harrison (Barry), Ringo Starr (Harris), and George Martin (Joseph). The anticipation had been building for quite some time.
At the Caesar’s Palace event, 59-year-old Director Sam announced that the entire quartet of movies collectively known as “The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event” will be released in the same month. He then presented his four principal actors to the stage.

As stated by the director, Tom Rothman, the head of Sony’s films, referred to these movies as “the initial cinema experience designed for binge-watching.
Mendes declared that instead of producing a single movie, we will be creating four films focusing on the Beatles. This could provide a more in-depth understanding of these iconic musicians.
Mendes stated, “The Beatles significantly shifted my perspective on music. For quite some time now, I’ve aimed to create a film centered around them.
In 2024, the filmmaker expressed his pride in narrating the tale of the most legendary rock band ever, and his eagerness to reshape the idea of what a movie outing entails, as reported by People.
At Cinemacon, Sam expressed his belief that the tale of The Beatles was too expansive to be contained within a single movie, and he had no intention of transforming it into a TV show.
Sam went on to share that the four films will be released ‘in proximity’ with each other.

‘Frankly, we need big cinematic events to get people out of the house,’ the Skyfall frontman added.
He shared with the crowd, “It was necessary to find a means of retelling the grand tale for future generations.” He continued, “Rest assured, there’s still much unexplored territory ahead, and I believe we’ve discovered an approach to make that happen.
On stage, the actors performed songs from Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band by the Beatles, ending with a synchronized bow that echoed the iconic pose of the band.
For the very first time, The Beatles and their Apple Corps. company are granting complete life story and music rights for a scripted movie.
