Taylor’s Pal EXPOSES Carrie Underwood: ‘Groomed & Betrayed’ on American Idol!

On Tuesday, Taylor Swift’s friend Presley Cash shared a passionate TikTok video, accusing Carrie Underwood and the American Idol production team of a shocking act of disloyalty, following the reported cancellation of her audition.

The 27-year-old artist, who gained fame from appearing in two of Taylor Swift’s music videos, publicly criticized the country icon for dismissing her abilities. She also accused the Idol team of spending extensive time nurturing her talents, only to ultimately surprise her unfavorably in the end.

This season, Cash submitted an audition for the renowned competition series; however, her performance was not broadcasted – all that was shown was a brief scene of her giving the judges her bone-like gloves.

‘I hadn’t realized it at the time, but after six months of being told by producers how talented a singer/songwriter I was and how much they enjoyed my work alongside Taylor, I ended up performing in front of the American Idol judges. However, to my surprise, Carrie Underwood criticized my singing abilities, stating that I couldn’t hold my own in Hollywood—a statement made by her after 20 years of working in the industry,’ Cash expressed in a harsh video.

She mentioned, ‘I discovered she was aware of my collaboration with Taylor Swift and that I played a role in the LARGEST TOUR ever (the Eras Tour). It looks like the news about us has gotten even more intriguing, my friends…’

DailyMail.com has requested comment from reps for Carrie Underwood and American Idol.

In a different TikTok post, Presley reaffirmed her stance: “American Idol said I can’t sing, but Taylor gifted me this Tortured Poets Department bracelet. After my visit to Nashville, I feel more tortured and poetic than ever before!

‘Lionel, Luke and especially Carrie I hope you enjoy the Skeleton gloves!!!!!!,’ she added.

Initially, the artist gained recognition when she portrayed the bullied schoolgirl in Swift’s “Mean” music video at the age of 13. Later, she repeated this role in the 2023 film “I Can See You.” In this production, she collaborated with Taylor and Joey King to break out of a vault and reclaim her master recordings.

She even joined Taylor on stage at the Eras Tour to celebrate the video’s premiere.

Upon the video’s release, Swift publicly acknowledged Presley on Instagram, labeling her as ‘extraordinarily bold,’ further stating: “She’s absolutely amazing.

I’ve been eagerly awaiting this moment for months, and now, the ‘I Can See You’ video is finally here! A year ago, I penned the script for this video, envisioning a symbolic portrayal of what it has meant to me to have fans supporting my return to music. I was particularly keen on having Joey King, Taylor Lautner, and Impresley Cash (Helloimpresleycash) as stars in it.

Joey King and Presley starred in the music video for ‘Mean’ when they were nine and thirteen years old, and now they’re back with an incredible level of coolness! I couldn’t be more proud of them.

Apart from being a fan of Taylor Swift (known as Swifties), Presley has consistently built a career in acting and filmmaking. She’s been featured in projects like ‘Choose Connor’, ‘Coffee & Contemplation Live’, and ‘A Star Is Born’.

However, it’s her encounter with Idol that has brought her into the limelight recently, and she isn’t the only one who feels aggrieved.

Reports indicate that a long-standing friction exists between Swift and Underwood, which escalated significantly when Carrie performed at Donald Trump’s 2017 inauguration, an act that some sources suggest was intentionally meant as a provocation.

According to a source familiar with Swift, some people believe that Carrie accepted the role at Trump’s inauguration as a way of getting back at Taylor due to their past misunderstandings. It is well-known that Taylor has publicly supported Kamala Harris.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but see Carrie’s recent moves as her bold stakes being claimed in the spotlight as ‘Miss Americana’. With her side triumphant in the political arena, it feels like she’s asserting her position and making a statement.

The events didn’t end then. In a more recent episode of Idol, it seemed like Carrie was subtly criticizing Swift when she compared a lackluster performance to Taylor’s singing style.

Carrie remarked that she doesn’t see the large, powerful vibrato and belt in Taylor Swift’s voice, yet there’s an undeniable quality about it. This comment sparked speculation among Swift fans that she was subtly criticizing Taylor.

According to insiders, it wasn’t lost on Swift.

Our source shared that Carrie had been eagerly anticipating an opportunity to deliver a hint of criticism, but it wasn’t as discreet as she intended. Apparently, there was no need for her to make such comparisons with Taylor.

According to someone familiar with the situation, the source claims that the disagreement stems from the perception that Swift left traditional country music behind in pursuit of a wealthier path in pop music.

‘Carrie feels Taylor truly sold out going from country to pop,’ that insider said.
