Black Mirror boss Charlie Brooker responds to fan criticism: “It’s all famous people now”

Charlie Brooker, the creator of Black Mirror, has addressed concerns from viewers who feel the series features too many well-known personalities.

Originally airing on Channel 4, the anthology series with a dystopian theme transitioned to Netflix in 2016, and since then has attracted more prominent Hollywood stars. For example, the recently released seventh season boasts actors like Issa Rae, Paul Giamatti, Chris O’Dowd, and Awkwafina.

In a conversation with Digital Spy, Brooker humorously responded to criticisms about the show featuring more famous personalities: “At times I’ve heard people say, ‘Ah, it’s just famous faces now on Black Mirror!’ That’s how I imagine them complaining!
