Slight spoilers for A Minecraft Movie ahead!
Chicken Jockey wreaks havoc
In the movie, it’s Jack Black’s character, Steve, who frequently calls attention to elements that closely resemble the Minecraft universe. This observation has now turned into a popular internet joke: Flint and Steel, Crafting Table, and even the “Steve’s Lava Chicken” tune. However, what truly caught everyone’s attention amidst all the recognizable references in A Minecraft Movie was the character of Chicken Jockey. It played a significant role in causing turmoil and action within the film, but its impact has extended far beyond the cinema screen.
In the part where the crowd emerges and Steve shouts “Chicken Jockey”, many spectators are getting involved. For some, it’s just an amusing addition that enhances their cinematic experience.
On the contrary, certain cinema-attendees have escalated their behavior beyond acceptable limits, leading to chaos in the cinemas. This unruly conduct has prompted a response from several theaters. In one instance, law enforcement was required to remove the disruptive viewers.
The fad of tossing popcorn and other cinema treats onto the floor during social media events has spread throughout the UK and USA, causing cinemas to become messy. A theater even felt compelled to issue a warning about it, which also gained attention for different reasons.
Chicken Jockey in Minecraft
In Minecraft, the Chicken Jockey is an uncommon creature, with its appearance being quite rare, even in optimal conditions, only manifesting up to 0.48% of the time. Contrary to the portrayal in the Minecraft film where it was a baby zombie on a chicken, the actual Chicken Jockey can take several forms. The chicken remains consistent, but the entity atop it could be a transformed piglin baby, zombie villager baby, husk baby, or a drowned baby.
A Chicken Jockey poses a greater danger compared to regular mobs due to its diminutive size, making it tricky to target, its toughness, and the powerful weapon it often carries. Even an unprotected player can perish after receiving only a few hits from one!
