Calling The Split fans! ‘Paused’ spin-off series gets an exciting update

For fans of “The Split“, it seems that the anticipated spin-off titled “The Split Apart” is making progress in its production stages.

Last February, the BBC declared a spin-off for their well-known legal drama series. However, according to Deadline published in September, the production of this project has been put on hold indefinitely by the broadcaster.

In a fresh piece of news, Broadcast Now recently announced that the upcoming movie titled The Split Up is now in its preparatory phase, with filming set to commence in October.

The production titled “The Split Up” is scheduled to be shot in Manchester, just like its source series. It will continue the storyline of a family of legal professionals, known as the Kishans.

However, the fate and enduring impact of Kishan Law is uncertain as a long-hidden family secret emerges, causing disarray in both their professional and private spheres.

In a different phrasing, the creator of “The Split,” Abi Morgan, is participating in the development of the spin-off, but someone else, namely Ursula Rani Sarma, has written the script. Notably, Sarma’s recent work includes the dark comedy series “Delicious” on Sky.

Reflecting on an interview I had with Digital Spy last December, I was posed a question about a potential crossover between The Split and The Split Up. While I didn’t dismiss the idea entirely, it remains a fascinating concept that’s yet to be explored.

As a fellow gamer, I’m pretty sure we’re on the same page here. This upcoming game is going to stand tall on its own, but it’s awesome to have a community backing us from the previous version. Can’t wait for them, and many more gamers, to join us in the new adventure. Who knows what surprises await?
