Developers Serenity Forge and Deer Dream Studios recently revealed that the eerie psychological horror dating sim and visual novel titled “Cooking Companions” is set for release on various gaming consoles towards the end of this month.
Showcasing adorable anime-inspired aesthetics, the appearance of Cooking Companions hides a “tastefully grim narrative”. In this story, a band of companions find themselves confined within a cabin, lost in the dense woods of the Tatras Mountains. As hunger begins to take hold, bizarre events transpire, forcing these friends to confront some rather unpleasant predicaments.
In this game, you’ll venture through the cabin’s assorted rooms, form connections, and chart a course towards one of several conclusions. The game initially debuted on PC in October 2020, but its console version will include 15 animated scenes, hidden surprises, and complete translations in English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese.
On the 29th of April, you’ll find “Cooking Companions” available for play on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch systems.
