Rust Mobile begins a 7-day Closed Beta Test in China from April 16

Tencent Games has announced a one-week Closed Beta Test (CBT) for their action survival game, Rust Mobile, which will begin on April 16, 2025, in China for both Android and iOS devices. Earlier this year, there was an Alpha Test held in Canada only on Android in February 2025. If you’re interested, you can now pre-register for the CBT.

The mobile adaptation of the widely acclaimed PC game, known as “Rust Mobile,” is being developed under the working title “Outpost“. This project is officially endorsed by Facepunch Studios. Details about its development were shared last year in January, with the original studio acknowledging the project in November 2024.

For those who haven’t heard, Rust Mobile is an intense survival game set on a perilous, uninhabited island. Your objective is to make it through by gathering resources, constructing a shelter, creating tools, and investigating the enigmatic island, all while confronting wildlife, other survivors, hazardous conditions, and various challenges.

How to apply for the Rust Mobile Closed Beta Test

To discover if you’ve made it to the upcoming test, you’ll need to hold tight for a week to receive the announcement. The recruitment process remains open until April 13, 2025. If selected, the limited deletion test will kick off from April 16, 2025, and I can’t help but feel a surge of anticipation as we get closer to the global release.
