It appears that the Sun & Moon card deck may not have low success rates following all, given that it effectively blocked a bullet from entering a Pokemon enthusiast’s residence in reality.

On April 7, a Reddit user identified as LolaInSlacks88 shared an extraordinary incident: A set of Pokémon cards acted as a shield by stopping a wandering 9mm bullet from penetrating their household.

As I lay asleep in my gaming lair, a string of blasts jolted me awake. The echo of something crashing resounded from my closet, piquing my curiosity. Upon investigating, I found a gaping hole in the wall and another one in a nearby Tupperware, revealing a box of Sun & Moon Roaring Heat Theme Deck. Quite the unexpected surprise while gaming!

Originally, the person (OP) examined the Tupperware and found a 9mm bullet within it. Additionally, they noticed that the theme deck’s container, along with the cards inside, effectively deflected the bullet’s path – an occurrence the OP believes could have potentially saved their life – as the shot was parallel to where they had been resting.

Police response to the bulletproof Pokémon cards incident

LolaInSlacks88’s Reddit post gathered over 10,000 upvotes, leading to a variety of reactions across the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) community, including worries for the original poster and some amusing comments.

A Reddit user suggested that the original poster (OP) should assess which Pokémon card was hit by the bullet’s impact, while some users humorously proposed that Incineroar employed its Intimidate ability to halt the bullet, alluding to the Incineroar card showcased in the Roaring Heat Theme Deck.

As a concerned fan, I can confirm that I did take action to address the recent issue by filing a crime report regarding the stray bullet. The authorities have since taken possession of the evidence. Unfortunately, due to insufficient information for prosecution or identification of the culprit, they’ve decided to temporarily halt the investigation. However, they assured me they will keep my case on file, ready to be reopened should new leads arise.

As a dedicated fan, I’ve found myself reflecting on a recent experience. After an unexpected incident, I chose to avoid my bedroom for several days. Now, looking back, I can’t help but see Incineroar as my personal guardian angel Pokémon.
