Dave Chappelle’s Prediction About Trump’s Tariffs Comes True

The prediction made by comedian Dave Chappelle about President Trump’s tariff policies, which he described as eerie, is being shared widely on social media platforms in the context of the ongoing U.S.-China trade dispute.

On Liberation Day, Trump boosted tariffs by 34%, which was an additional layer over the 20% customs duties that were implemented earlier in the year against Beijing.

In response to China boosting tariffs by 34% on American imports, the president has promised to impose an additional 50% tariff. China has denounced these tariffs as extortion and declared they will persist in their fight against them to the very end.

Americans could now see massive price hikes on iPhones, computers and toys as a result.

Following the escalation of the trade war, an old video of Chappelle resurfaced on social media platforms once more. In this clip, the comedian humorously speculated about Trump managing to reclaim manufacturing jobs from China, and iPhones increasing in price up to $9000 due to these circumstances.

In the Netflix special clip, Chappelle expressed that the suggestions seem as though they were thought up by someone under the influence, implying that the individual lacks thorough consideration before sharing their thoughts with us.

‘I’m gonna get these jobs from China and bring them back here to America.

‘He just tells us what he’s thinking before telling him that s**t sounds nuts.

Is it true that iPhones cost $9,000? That sounds more like something from China rather than the kind of work we should be doing here. We don’t want to take on such demanding jobs; let them stick to their own.

‘I want to wear Nikes – I don’t want to make them.’

Fans lauded the clip with one writing: ‘The dave Chappelle joke was a prophecy i guess

Regarding being for or against Trump or tariffs, Dave Chappelle’s perspective on the matter is quite amusing, isn’t it? I believe you’ve seen it. If not, give it a watch (unless you dislike explicit content, in which case, better to avoid it).

‘That Apple segment just reminded me of it.

‘Dave Chappelle’s comedy bit on the topic holds true.’

On Tuesday, Trump announced plans for a 104% tax on imports from China, following China’s decision not to remove their counter-tariffs against the U.S.

In simple terms, because Beijing failed to remove the tariffs they had placed on U.S. goods by the noon deadline, China will now be subjected to an additional 50% in tariffs from the U.S.

The new tariffs will go into effect at 12:01 am, the White House said.

In simpler terms, Vice President JD Vance argued on Fox and Friends that we are essentially borrowing funds from ordinary Chinese workers to purchase the goods they produce. This statement was made in defense of Trump’s tariffs, which have led to a 4,000-point drop on Wall Street over the past week.

The Vice President stated that the main outcomes for the United States from the globalist economy are largely rooted in two primary factors: firstly, accumulating massive debt to acquire products manufactured by other nations instead of producing them ourselves.

On Tuesday, the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Lin Jian, responded to Vance’s remarks at a press conference regarding Trump’s tariffs.

He found it equally shocking and sad to listen to the vice president making such uninformed and disrespectful statements,” he expressed.

Since President Trump took office for his first term, there’s been a persistent dispute over manufacturing jobs that has been the focus of many memes, with the US and China being the main parties involved.

Since 2017, Donald Trump has persistently proposed enforcing taxes on Chinese products as a tactic aimed at reinstating American manufacturing jobs in the United States.

A key point he makes is that tariffs increase the cost of Chinese goods imported into America. This price hike encourages local companies to manufacture products within the U.S., leading to job creation and less dependence on overseas workforce.

On the other hand, Chinese social media is expressing skepticism about the likelihood that Americans would accept doing these labor-heavy tasks.
