Actress Aimee Lou Wood, known for her role in “The White Lotus,” has addressed the increased focus on her teeth following the debut of the show’s third season on HBO.
On the show, wood is often admired because it appears as if it possesses real, unaltered teeth, unlike the veneers commonly seen in Hollywood.
In an interview with GQ, the actress expressed her contentment about the compliments on her teeth, yet she acknowledged that there comes a point where the focus, even if it’s favorable, becomes too much.
Wood remarked, “I find great joy in its representation of defiance and liberty, yet there’s a boundary.
The discussion we’ve been having predominantly revolves around my dental issues, which leaves me feeling somewhat melancholic as I yearn to discuss my professional endeavors more. It seems they find the topic appealing since they’re not being critical, but it’s still not quite what I had hoped for in our conversation.
She went on to say, “I need to head over there… I’m not sure if the person in question was male or not, but it seems we’re discussing it quite extensively.” It appears she is still focusing on the topic of a woman’s physical attributes.
In the series, Wood portrays Chelsea, a youthful character who journeys with her significantly older companion, skillfully enacted by Walton Goggins.
In an interview with The Sun last month, Wood admitted that she felt more apprehensive about shooting scenes by the pool in a swimsuit compared to filming intimate sex scenes.
Wood expressed concern about being near the pool, explaining it’s when she tends to focus more on her appearance.
In a private moment, focus is on the emotional connection. However, you need to put that aside somehow. You must move past it. Surprisingly, the swimsuit scenes were more daunting for me in reality.
