On April 9th, the popular game Cookie Run: Kingdom is scheduled to roll out its latest update titled “The Flame Awakens“. This exciting new version will be accessible following maintenance, expected between 06:00 – 10:00 (GMT+9). The maintenance period will bring the anticipated update, which includes a fresh storyline, new characters, events, permanent content, and much more.

In case you’re wondering, some parts of the upcoming update might get tweaked before it goes live. Legendary Cookie: Fire Spirit Cookie

Skill Description: The Fire Spirit Cookie moves toward opponents, charring its route and dealing Interval Damage. Following this, it triggers a Flame Burst, causing damage and igniting the affected enemies with an Explosive Burn effect.

Following this, the Fire Spirit Cookie will harness its fire power to hurling a Fire Orb towards the closest adversary. This attack not only deals Area Damage but also triggers a Chain Explosion on nearby foes, ceasing when there are no more targets remaining. At the beginning of the fight, the Guardian of Fire sets up a Wall of Fire to protect the team.

Moreover, the power of the Fire Spirit Cookie will increase significantly when engaging in combat against other Fire-type Cookies. The greater number of Cookies involved, the stronger his ability becomes. If the Fire Spirit Cookie is vanquished in battle, it will be revived with Indestructible Flames and will summon Flame Hydras if the allied Cookies are defeated. This fiery entity, known as the Fire Spirit Cookie, possesses resistance against Burn and Explosive Burn effects.

Epic Cookie: Agar Agar Cookie

  • Type: Ambush

Description of Ability: Agar Agar Cookie adopts the abilities of the renowned Nature’s Protectors: Fire Spirit Cookie, Stormbringer Cookie, Sea Fairy Cookie, Wind Archer Cookie, and Frost Queen Cookie. When she participates in a battle alongside any of these Cookies, her skills will mirror theirs.

Should no other options be available, she’ll resort to using a skill in a haphazard manner. Employing this skill bestows Immunity against Shackles upon allies and imposes a reduction on both the Attack Speed (ATK SPD) and Movement Speed (MOV SPD) of enemies.

New Resonant Toppings: Flaming Toppings

A fresh collection of Resonant Enhancements, known as Resonant Toppings, is about to be introduced! However, this exclusive lineup will only be compatible with a chosen group of Cookies. These fortunate Cookies will reap the benefits of these potent enhancements!

New Toppings Upgrade: Toppings Tart

The latest upgrade brings in a total of 30 fresh Topping Tarts, categorized as Common, Rare, and Epic rarities. Each Cookie can carry only one Tart, and these sweets serve to intensify the effects within the Topping set. For instance, the Epic Apple Jelly Tart increases ATK by 6.6% – 11.0%, whereas others amplify attributes such as CRIT, HP, or DEF.

The redesigned Topping set system now grants bonuses when you have 2, 3, or 5 toppings on a food item. Moreover, the bonus is further enhanced by the presence of an equipped tart. This change offers more versatility for customizing your dishes and strategically organizing your team!

Descend Into the Unknown: The Mines Await!

After reaching level 6 in Cookie Castle and finishing the “Restore the Mines” quest, you’ll gain access to a fresh event. The Mines, an extensive underground network, offer both riches and challenges. You can delve deeper into this labyrinth using a Mine Cart, discovering Ore Veins, Battle Cards, and Fossils as you journey.

Delving into new territories is crucial – enhancing Mine Carts can boost efficiency, and tools like a Hearty Meal (for restoring health) or Rapid Action Engine Oil (to speed up progress) are essential for survival. Nevertheless, the further you venture, the tougher the mines grow, depleting your character’s health points (HP) and reducing effectiveness.

Extracting minerals from Ore Veins is beneficial due to the valuable resources it provides, however, timing is essential as these Vein Cards become invalid if left unused. In contrast, Mine Battles challenge you against opponents in battles involving Cookies and MyCookies, granting Agar Cubes as rewards which need to be melted in furnaces to unveil hidden treasures.

Spring Cookie Games: Arcade Arena Returns

The Arcade Arena is back with four rotating battle modes! each with unique rules:

  • 5v5 Elemental Arena (April 9th-16th) – Battle using elemental Cookies.
  • 5v5 Battle of the Epics (April 16th-23rd) – Epic and Super Epic Cookies only.
  • 7v7 Kingdom Clash (April 23rd-30th) – A mix of Epic, Rare, and Common Cookies.
  • 7v7 Treasure Showdown (April 30th-May 7th) – All rarities, plus up to five Treasures.

Advance through various levels, starting with Chocolate and ultimately reaching the prestigious rank of Grandmaster. Along your journey, you’ll unlock exclusive perks. A fresh Elite tier has been incorporated into the system, while Seasonal Treasures will introduce new elements to your gameplay strategy.

Town Square Chaos: Cake Hound Round-Up

During designated playtimes, a delightful mini-game called “Cake Hound Round-Up” is introduced. In this game, you’re responsible for rounding up errant Cake Hounds that have escaped. By using a candy cane, you can gather ordinary Cake Hounds (these combine into full cakes for extra points), and special Cake Hounds with unique talents.

As I conquer challenges within the game, I accumulate “Town Square Coins.” Once I’ve amassed enough of these, I’ll be rewarded with a loyal companion, a “Friendly Cake Hound,” who tags along with my character, affectionately known as MyCookie, throughout our shared town.

Agar Slime Crisis and Cherry Blossom Picnic

In the “Agar Slime Crisis”, your goal is to inflict maximum damage on a colossal Agar Slime, whose vulnerabilities shift depending on your team setup. For outstanding performances, nine different seasonal leaderboards grant rewards.

During the game, Cherry Blossom Cookies’ Spring Picnic gives you a chance to toss a die on a picnic-themed board, moving to spaces that offer rewards. Gathering 100 dice unlocks the Cherry Blossom Cookie’s Picnic Season Costume, and unique Cherry Picnic Dice enable you to decide where they land.
