As reported by Deadline, the character played by Welliver is set to debut in episode 516 of the revamped original series. This could pave the way for his possible appearance in a future spin-off program.
In the initial glimpses (accessible through Deadline), Welliver and Queen Latifah are spotted together, with Queen Latifah taking the lead role. It seems that a figure in the backdrop might be Juani Feliz.
Both Welliver and Feliz are being considered for the leading roles in an upcoming spin-off series, although it has not yet been officially commissioned.
In the fifth season, you’ll see both Welliver and Feliz’s characters make their debut in an episode called ‘Sins of our Father’. This episode is scheduled to be aired on April 20th.
