Chris Hemsworth Admits Intimidation by Hollywood Star Halle Berry
In an unexpected revelation, Chris Hemsworth admitted that he felt quite nervous about collaborating with the esteemed Halle Berry on a film project at first.
Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor and is 41 years old, admitted that it was challenging for him to act alongside such a famous actress.
For quite some time, I’ve been deeply inspired by Halle’s work, and when I found myself seated across from her on set, I must admit, I felt a sense of awe and intimidation. My goal wasn’t just to watch in admiration, but to perform alongside her as well.
She swiftly made him comfortable, and mentioned that she was thrilled to act alongside the distinguished actress from Monster’s Ball on screen.
He mentioned that being around people encourages you to showcase your finest qualities, while creating an environment that feels safe for experimentation, brainstorming various thoughts, and attempting new ventures.
‘That was the experience. I loved every second of it.’
While Halle, aged 58, expressed that she found it delightful to work alongside Chris, as he demonstrated chivalry and gentlemanly behavior during filming.
She stated that at a particular instance during our film, he took a stand for me. In that very second, I felt certain that I would admire and support him wholeheartedly for the remainder of my days.
Back in early October, it was reported by Deadline that Halle was in talks to feature in the film version of Don Winslow’s recently published book, Crime 101, which came out in 2021.
Bart Layton is set to helm the upcoming movie, serving as its director, and this new production is expected to be a sequel to his 2018 crime/thriller titled American Animals.
In addition to Halle and Chris, Irish actor Barry Keoghan will also star in the project.
Winslow’s account details a series of well-planned jewelry heists occurring on the Pacific Coast, with investigators linking these crimes to Colombian drug cartels.
However, one detective in particular discovers a different lead, and hones in on one suspect.
Apart from directing the movie, Layton also collaborated on the screenplay with Peter Straughan, who co-wrote the screenplay for “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.


According to Deadline, Shane Salerno, Dimitri Doganis, Derrin Schlesinger, Layton (RAW), Eric Fellner, and Tim Bevan are all involved in producing the project, with Salerno being from Story Factory, Fellner and Bevan from Working Title.
Last year, Pedro Pascal was discussing potential roles for a show, but scheduling issues prevented him from taking on that part.
Chris also has a producer credit along with his business partner Ben Grayson.
Halle most most recently appeared in The Union, Netflix’s action/thriller with Mark Wahlberg.
She oversees HalleHolly Productions, the firm behind the Lionsgate suspense film “Never Let Go,” and is gearing up to commence production on projects like “Maude Vs. Maude” and “The Process.
