siuhy is on trial until after the Austin Major.
Team Liquid, known for its unpredictable roster, decided to make adjustments only two months prior to the Austin Major. They’ve brought in Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek, a free agent, to take over as the team’s in-game leader. This change will see Justin “jks” Savage being replaced. The move also allows Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken to reclaim his star role, having served as IGL for a challenging eight months.
Additionally, Torbjørn “mithR” Nyborg is set to depart, having joined Liquid as a coach last July. During his tenure, the team has displayed an unpredictable performance, demonstrating flashes of brilliance but also experiencing defeats against teams they were expected to easily beat.
siuhy handed trial as Austin Major approaches
On April 4, Liquid disclosed a change in their lineup, as jks was shifted to the bench following an eight-month stint on the team. Speculation about potential adjustments to the roster had been circulating since March 26, with industry insiders suggesting that both jks and mithR were likely to depart the team.
22-year-old player is set to rejoin Team Liquid for this week’s PGL Bucharest, expressing his enthusiasm about starting his tenure with the team by saying on Twitter, “My trial period with Liquid has begun, and I can’t wait to play alongside them!” (Siuhy’s words)
In their most recent appearance, the Shanghai Major quarterfinalist was noticed playing with MOUZ during the BLAST Bounty Spring qualifier. However, he had already departed from the team prior to the event in January, a decision that caused quite a stir given MOUZ’s exceptional performance throughout 2024.
In the past year, Liquid has undergone its sixth lineup adjustment. Despite this, they struggled with consistency throughout 2025. However, with a seasoned in-game leader in siuhy now on board and less conflict between Keith “NAF” Markovic and the departing jks regarding roles, the team appears poised for improvement on paper.

It seems that JKS, who was on Liquid and might have left them, could miss out on participating in the Austin Major unless another team decides to make roster adjustments. Yet, since VRS invitations for the premier event are not yet confirmed, and considering his role as a substitute player, it’s probable that the 29-year-old Australian gamer won’t secure a new team until July.
In 2025, JKS maintained a 0.96 HLTV rating, but after Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis’ departure in December, there were multiple position adjustments within the team. With two players who tended to play passive rifler roles, some spectators suggested that both NAF and JKS faced difficulties due to role conflicts.
