Mark Ronson Hospitalized After Stage Injury: DJ’s Bicep Tendon Snaps Live!

During his latest performance, Mark Ronson disclosed that he had to be admitted to the hospital due to a painful wound he sustained.

On Wednesday, the British DJ, age 49 and recently expanded his family with wife Grace Gummer after welcoming their second child just two months prior, posted a picture of himself lying in a hospital bed on his primary Instagram account.

The star maintained his optimistic vibe, giving a thumbs-up gesture towards the camera and offering a subtle smile.

In the title of the post, the music producer shared with his 1 million fans what took place.

During that performance, the quality of the house speakers was so poor that I attempted to adjust the stage monitor toward the audience using just one hand, in an attempt to boost their sound a bit.

After discovering they were heavier than expected, the DJ exclaimed: ‘Apparently, they’re bulkier than I assumed… Two ruptured bicep tendons and a concluded performance later, here we stand, darling! #rippedthisway.’

As stated by the Hand and Wrist Institute, the healing time for a torn bicep tendon varies based on the extent of the damage, ranging from a few weeks up to several months.

Fans react to the post by sending well-wishes for a speedy recovery, with one commenting: ‘Oh dear! I’m sorry to hear that. Take care and get well soon.’

Another comment: “Mark, keep feeling better! You’ve always given it your best during performances (and now some extra muscle as well!). Here’s to a quick recovery for you!

A third wrote: ‘Hard working man right there! Get better soon!’

Although the precise time isn’t clear, Ronson shared a sequence of photos during the last weekend, specifically on Saturday, while performing a five-hour vinyl set at an event.

Just a few weeks ago, in the heart of March, I was beyond thrilled to hear the news straight from the horse’s mouth! My favorite music artist is planning to release his memoir titled Night People: Surviving as a DJ in ’90s NYC later this year, specifically in September. I can hardly wait!

He eagerly announced the news on social platforms and provided a summary of the upcoming book to his followers before it went public.

This narrative captures three profound passions of mine: the thrilling journey of being a DJ, filled with its intense ups and downs; the electrifying atmosphere of New York City at night; and the unconventional, vibrant individuals in the club scene who I came to regard as my extended family.

He additionally expressed that, ‘This book is a heartfelt missive to an epoch that has vanished, which not only influenced my professional journey but molded my personal identity – a period in which discovering my skill set led me to self-discovery.’

In the words of Rolling Stone, Ronson further conveyed that DJing in ’90s New York City served as a catalyst for everything he undertook afterwards, forming the base for all his subsequent projects and creative endeavors.

Through his ascent to stardom, the DJ has earned a reputation as one of the world’s leading figures in music production and record producing, gaining immense popularity along the way.

He received eight Grammy Awards and earned the title “Producer of the Year” due to his exceptional work on Amy Winehouse’s critically acclaimed song, Back To Black.

Additionally, the music producer was honored with a Grammy, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award for collaborating on the song “Shallow” with Lady Gaga, which featured in the 2018 film A Star Is Born.
