Glen Powell has addressed his eyebrow raising reunion with Anyone But You co-star Sydney Sweeney.
More recently, Sweeney was seen together with Powell and their relatives at Leslie Powell’s wedding ceremony. This event took place not long after rumors surfaced in both People and Us Weekly magazines about Sweeney having parted ways with her partner, Jonathan Davino.
On Today, Powell remarked, “Timing indeed plays a crucial role in life, doesn’t it?” This comment seemed to be a subtle reference to Sweeney’s recent breakup. He continued, “They (Sweeney and Syd) appear to be fantastic friends, and their wedding was nothing short of spectacular.” Powell then added, “The Powells know how to throw a party, so all the people who adore her were there.
“It was just such a fun, rowdy wedding,” he continued. “The Powells know how to crank it up.”
Back in 2023, when I was eagerly waiting for the release of that fantastic romantic comedy, the on-set chemistry between Sweeney and Powell had me buzzing! Their interactions sparked quite a stir among fans, fueling those tantalizing romance rumors.

Additionally, Sweeney clarified the rumors of romance, refuting allegations that she and Powell were romantically linked in August 2023. When questioned about the apparent chemistry with her co-star, she explained to Variety: “It’s a romantic comedy. That’s what people expect!
She mentioned: “Glen and I are quite indifferent. We simply enjoy ourselves immensely in each other’s company, and our mutual respect is profound.
