Vanessa Bryant shared on Instagram upcoming Nike Basketball Kobe line releases. Although some pairs, such as this month’s re-release of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro “What The,” have been previously previewed, new colorways like the Nike Kobe 9 EM joining the “Mambacita” series have also been unveiled. This collection, honoring Gigi Bryant, started in 2022 with the Kobe 6 Protro and has since included the Kobe 4 and 8 Protro.
A preliminary glance at the Kobe 9 EM “Mambacita” reveals it adopting the usual black, white, and gold color palette. The upper base exhibits a gradual transition from white to black, with golden lateral Swooshes that harmonize with the “Gigi” label on the heel and the Sheath logo on the tongue. Additionally, this sneaker showcases a marbled pattern in black and white across its entire sole unit.
As of now, there are no confirmed plans from Nike Basketball for the release of the “Mambacita” version of the Kobe 9 EM. Keep an eye out for updates, including potential sneak peeks of the shoes, as we anticipate they will become available on their usual launch date, which is Gigi Bryant’s birthday (May 1). This special pair is expected to be made available through Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $180 USD.
