A 52-year-old comic from Britain is planning to perform his stand-up act in Australia during the year 2026.

The controversial Netflix star will kick off his Jimmy Car: Laughs Funny Tour in February.

Jimmy, famous for his witty, offbeat style, is set to entertain audiences in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, South Australia, and Tasmania with his performances.

Tour organisers announced that all tickets to his Down Under tour will go on sale on April 7.

On February 25, Jimmy starts his extended tour of Australia, kicking off at the Caloundra Events Centre located on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.

The tour is set to finish two months later on May 6 at Melbourne’s John Cain Centre.

Jimmy is scheduled to perform concerts across various locations in Australia during this period. Some of these venues include the Gold Coast, Mackay, Tamworth, Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Cairns, Townsville, Rockhampton, and Wollongong.

He’ll be doing a show for his Sydney fans at the ICC Theatre on March 13.

Jimmy, renowned for his stand-up comedy specials and hosting stints on the Netflix talk show “The Fix,” performed for more than a million people during his latest global tour, which spanned across 45 different nations.

After dismissing the criticism stemming from his more contentious stand-up routines, Jimmy maintained that there is a practical purpose in joking about distressing situations.

The humorist frequently gets entangled in controversies throughout his career due to joking about tragic events like 9/11 and the Holocaust. In the past, he has acknowledged that he’s become quite skilled at getting canceled.

However, during a recent interview, he humorously expressed the sentiment that the current state of comedy makes it seem as though one has unlimited freedom to express themselves.

Jimmy acknowledged that some of his more provocative humor was walking a fine line, but he emphasized that the underlying purpose behind these jokes mattered significantly. In his view, such humor might serve as a means to bring clarity and understanding to challenging subjects.

‘But the way it can get reported is as if you’re shouting jokes through someone’s letterbox at 9am.
