On Tuesday in New York City, Michelle Williams showcased a sleek, low-cut evening gown during a media event.
44-year-old former star of Dawson’s Creek is publicizing her upcoming, sex-positive TV show on FX titled “Dying for Sex.
The girl wore a baby doll dress, which had an ivory lace border and had a slightly puffed, ruffled skirt that flowed softly.
Always known for her stylish sense, Williams paired her playful and flirtatious outfit with a pair of tall, black leather boots reaching up to her thighs on this occasion. Her high-profile friend recently shared insights into their long-standing friendship.
According to Williams, the show switched between being dramatically intense, utterly ridiculous, incredibly amusing, and hard-to-believe, only to return to each state multiple times, as detailed in a New York Magazine cover story published on Monday.
The mini-series, modeled after the popular podcast with the same title, narrates the tale of Molly (Williams), a woman who has been diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. After 15 years of marriage, she decides to embark on a journey of self-discovery regarding her sexuality, as reported by Deadline.
Molly receives motivation from her dearest friend Nikki Boyer, portrayed by Jenny Slate, to undertake a significant life transformation.
As I shared with The New York Post in 2020, during her final moments, she was mending the wounds of her life. A lifelong aspiration of hers was to write a book and earn the title of published author. Remarkably, in the twilight of her life, she seized this dream during her last few months. In those precious moments, she experienced the clearest thinking she had ever known.
Under the direction of Leslye Headland, this production features a screenplay jointly penned by Elizabeth Meriwether and Kim Rosenstock. The talented ensemble includes Rob Delaney, Esco Jouley, and Sissy Spacek.
Additionally, Meriwether, Rosenstock share the roles of showrunners and executive producers alongside Headland, Katherine Pope, Boyer, Jen Sargent, Marshall Lewy, Aaron Hart, and Hernan Lopez.
The manufacturing process had started some time prior, but gained significant speed in the spring of 2023. However, it was temporarily halted due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.
The upcoming show signifies Michelle’s comeback to acting after a break, as it’s the first role she has taken on since filming The Fabelmans.
Additionally, it signifies that Williams is back to FX, having portrayed Gwen Verdon in the mini-series titled Fosse/Verdon, which aired in 2019.

As a lifestyle connoisseur speaking here, I can say that my connection with this individual runs so profoundly and fundamentally deep at this stage, it’s almost like second nature to understand them. I shared this sentiment during my conversation with Page Six on the weekend.
She mentioned that they’ve shared numerous significant moments in each other’s lives, ranging from incredibly joyous ones to those that seemed unbearable at the time.
Yet, Busy expressed warmly, ‘To have such a friend is truly fortunate. It’s the greatest gift one could ask for in life.’
