I’m really excited about this new series! It’s based on Jon Krakauer’s book, and the cast is amazing. Billy Howle plays Brenda’s husband, Allen, and Wyatt Russell—you might know him from Marvel—and Sam Worthington, from Avatar, are playing Allen’s brothers, Dan and Ron. It’s going to be good!
Rory Culkin and Taylor St Pierre star as the Lafferty brothers, Samuel and Jacob. Denise Gough plays Dianna, Ron’s wife, and Chloe Pirrie, known for her role in Dept Q, plays Matilda, Dan’s wife.

The cast is amazing, and I’m really excited about Christopher Heyerdahl playing Ammon Lafferty, the dad, and Megan Leitch as his wife, Doreen. They’re going to be key players, I can feel it!
The TV series Under the Banner of Heaven has earned a “Certified Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, meaning it’s been highly recommended by critics. It currently has an 87% approval rating based on 52 reviews.

Reviewers have praised Andrew Garfield’s performance as the emotional center of the show (according to Empire), and the entire cast delivers strong performances, making the miniseries a standout and potentially the best of the year.
According to a review in The Guardian, the adaptation is both stylish and relevant, and it tackles important themes.
According to BBC Culture, the series is compelling because it presents a more nuanced perspective on Mormonism than other television portrayals. It especially highlights the contrast between one man’s sincere beliefs and the extreme behaviors of those on the fringes of the faith.
I’m so excited to share that you can now watch Under the Banner of Heaven! I’ve been looking forward to it, and it’s currently streaming on Prime Video here in the UK. Plus, if you prefer, it’s also available on Disney+ and ITVX, which is awesome!
The latest issue of Living Legends magazine is now available, and it’s a special tribute to Dolly Parton! You can find ‘Dolly at 80’ in shops that sell magazines or order it online for only £8.99.
