Beloved new Taskmaster-packed series has just broken records for UK streamer

Last One Laughing UK has reportedly “broken records” for Prime Video.

In this Amazon Prime Video series, the popular comedian, Jimmy Carr, invites ten renowned comics into a secure space with a unique guideline: they must refrain from laughing throughout the event.

The show, boasting stars like Lou Sanders, Bob Mortimer, Daisy May Cooper, Joe Lycett, and Sara Pascoe among others, has been a massive success since its premiere in March. Now, it holds the number one spot on Prime Video’s top 10 chart in the UK.

This implies that it has recently surpassed the action crime series “Reacher,” which had been number one for more than six months.

As per data from Barb (reported by Metro), the initial three episodes of Last One Laughing UK attracted 2.9 million, 2.5 million, and 2.4 million viewers respectively.

On platform X, the fan account SuperTV shared that Amazon Prime’s show LOL (Last one Laughing) has set new records as one of their largest UK debuts yet. The first three episodes from last week made it into the top 50 most-watched shows of the week with a total of approximately 8 million viewers!

Enthusiasts have labeled the series as “outstanding” and are clamoring for more episodes on various social platforms, with one spectator posting on TikTok: “I’ve just wrapped up, what a heartwarming group and idea, bring on season 2!

Another enthusiast exclaimed, “I must have season two immediately!”, while another joined in, saying “I adored it! Can’t wait for more episodes!

The Irish edition of “Last One Laughing” has started gaining popularity on the streaming charts as well, thanks to the UK version’s success, and it currently ranks at the sixth position.
