
Actor Bruce Glover, recognized for his performances in “Chinatown” and “Diamonds Are Forever,” passed away recently at the age of 92.
Crispin Glover, an actor, director, and writer who is also his son, posted photos of his late father on Instagram, indicating that Bruce Glover had passed away on March 12th. According to a representative for Crispin, Bruce Glover’s death was due to natural causes as reported by People magazine.
Born in 1932 and raised in Chicago, Bruce Glover had a passion for movies from an early age. At just 3 years old, he performed in a church pageant where his line “No room at the inn” drew laughter from the audience due to his charming delivery. So captivated were they that he repeated it multiple times, as he recounted on the podcast “James Bond Radio” in 2015.
“I had an instinct for it and didn’t know I did,” Glover told “James Bond Radio.”

In a surprising turn of events, his debut role was portraying a gorilla who interacted with a performer during her strip act. Following his service in the Korean War, he landed the leading part in Tennessee Williams’ play “Camino Real.” Remarkably, he had no formal acting training, yet he went on to mentor other actors, as he shared on his Yelp page.
Glover featured prominently in various stage plays, television series, and films. Some of his notable roles include playing Duffy in the 1974 drama “Chinatown,” the antagonist Mr. Wint in the 1971 James Bond film “Diamonds Are Forever,” and Feldman in the 2001 drama “Ghost World.” Additionally, he made appearances on TV shows like “Mod Squad” and “My Favorite Martian.
Apart from being an actor himself, Glover additionally served as a mentor for other performers. On his Yelp profile, he expressed his deep enthusiasm for guiding actors to showcase their individual artistic flair and authenticity.
