George Clooney’s Cringeworthy New Hairdo
On the weekend’s start, George Clooney was seen in New York City, maintaining his striking brown hairstyle.
Last month, he first unveiled the new style and openly confessed about his worries that his stylish attorney wife, Amal, might not like it.
Previously known as a silver-haired fox, he adopted a different hair color for his portrayal of Edward R. Murrow in the Broadway production titled “Good Night, And Good Luck.
As a diehard fan, I’m sharing my thoughts on “Good Night, and Good Luck,” a movie that captivated me back in 2005. This masterpiece was brought to life by George Clooney, who not only took the reins as director but also stepped into the shoes of the eloquent Edward R. Murrow, albeit the character portrayed by the venerable David Strathairn, who at that time was 76 years young.
Currently, George, who is 63 years old, has assumed the role as the host for the stage adaptation, and was spotted making his way to the Saturday matinee this week at the Winter Garden Theater.
He showed up at the location, dressed in his usual sophisticated style, wearing a charcoal suit, a black polo shirt, dress shoes, and sunglasses.
His excursion follows him expressing worries about Amal, aged 47, and their children disliking his recent hairstyle last month – as he drew attention with the new style during his time in NYC.
During a casual outing for lunch with his companion, the actor unveiled an unexpected transformation – a freshly dyed brown hairstyle.
Last month, George expected his family might not embrace the alteration in his look as warmly.
Amal and George share twins Alexander and Ella, seven.
During a New York Times interview in February, George commented that his wife might not like it because there’s nothing that makes you appear older quite like an older man dying his hair. He also mentioned that his children would likely tease him relentlessly about it.
The Academy Award-winner and the British-Lebanese lawyer have been married since 2014.
In this upcoming series, the actor is set to play CBS journalist Edward R. Murrow, requiring him to conceal his typical salt-and-pepper locks under a dark brown wig or dye.
It seems like George might have just recolored his hair, given that he was seen sporting his well-known silver mane as recently as last month in New York City. However, during that particular excursion, he was wearing a hat.

In the new play, the actor and filmmaker will be starring as the legendary journalist Edward.
In the 2005 movie, David Strathairn was the main character, whereas George Clooney appeared as a secondary character portraying CBS President Fred Friendly; he also handled duties off-camera.
The film, filmed in monochrome, primarily revolved around Edward R. Murrow’s broadcasts that exposed Senator Joseph McCarthy’s baseless accusations of Communist influence within the U.S. administration.
As a result, there was a heated argument between the two gentlemen, which unfolded on Murrow’s CBS transmission prior to the senator’s disgrace during the Army-McCarthy hearings and later reprimand by the Senate.
Notably, the main cast consisted of Robert Downey Jr., Jeff Daniels, Patricia Clarkson, Frank Langella, and Ray Wise from Twin Peaks.
George Clooney’s movie was a major success financially, bringing in $54.6 million while only costing $7 million to produce, and it even received six Academy Award nominations. However, it didn’t win any Oscars on the night of the ceremony.
Apart from making his Broadway debut by assuming the lead role in Good Night, And Good Luck, George Clooney also has an upcoming movie project with significant attention.
He’s about to make his debut in the cast of the movie-drama-comedy titled “Jay Kelly,” which is directed by Noah Baumbach, a screenwriter for Barbie movies. This will be his initial role in a film under Baumbach’s direction.

George Clooney is set to join an extensive ensemble cast featuring stars like Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, Riley Keough, Jim Broadbent, Greta Gerwig (Baumbach’s wife), and Emily Mortimer. Together with Baumbach, they have collaborated on the screenplay for this project.
While specifics are scarce, we don’t know much about the upcoming Netflix movie yet, but rumor has it that it falls under the genre of coming-of-age stories.
Netflix has not disclosed its release plan for later in the year yet, however, historically, movies by filmmaker Noah Baumbach have been given a restricted cinema release before they become available on the streaming platform.
Before collaborating with Gerwig on the movie Barbie, Baumbach had already written and directed several films. These include an adaption of Don DeLillo’s novel “White Noise”, as well as the Academy Award-winning film “Marriage Story” and “The Meyerowitz Stories”, which were produced by Netflix.
