Square Enix has unveiled a sneak peek at gameplay for the upcoming “Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake,” which is the next title in their HD-2D Remake series, coming after the release of “Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake” in November.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m excited to share that the game set includes fully reimagined versions of the 1986 classic Dragon Quest I and its 1987 sequel, Dragon Quest II. These games continue the epic tale, picking up where the events of the 1988 release, Dragon Quest III, left off. That’s why we’re releasing these first two games after the HD-2D Remake of the third chapter, ensuring a seamless and immersive gaming experience for fans like me!
In the latest trailer, you’ll find some descendants of the renowned hero Erdrick, whose story continues through the ages. The upcoming release of Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake this year will finally finish off the cherished Erdrick Trilogy. Similar to its predecessor, it will blend 3D backdrops with high-definition sprites.
The remastered versions of Dragon Quest I and II, known as the “HD-2D Remake,” are set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers (PC).
