An actor known for their role in the critically-acclaimed Netflix series “Orange is the New Black” has hinted at a possible return, following the show’s ending six years ago.
The show, airing from 2013 to 2019 over a span of seven seasons, delves into the personal stories of female prisoners in an American penitentiary, earning recognition as one of the platform’s top-tier productions.
One notable performer stood out among many, and that was Danielle Brooks, who garnered immense acclaim for her role as Tasha ‘Taystee’ Jefferson throughout the series.
During an interview on The One Show, the actor was questioned about a group photo and was probed if she’d committed to any future projects.
Brooks said, “I’d gladly put my signature there anytime,” expressing his enthusiasm. He cherished collaborating with everyone and felt a strong bond with them, almost like family. Here’s hoping for more success in the future.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but feel excited when I recall Beth Dover’s words from 2019 to Metro. She expressed her belief that our beloved characters will face numerous events throughout the years, implying a potential spin-off could be truly extraordinary!
Perhaps it could be a film, who knows? However, I don’t make those decisions. Nevertheless, I believe the fans would find it delightful. I’m certain it would be quite an extraordinary project if it were to happen.
Brooks has continued to flourish since “Orange is the New Black” concluded, featuring prominently in “Peacemaker” and the upcoming “The Minecraft Movie,” while also receiving an Oscar nod last year for her role in “The Color Purple.
Additionally, the esteemed actress Uzo Aduba (known for her role as Suzanne ‘Crazy Eyes’ Warren), is currently featured in Netflix’s murder-mystery series titled “The Residence“. This production received a remarkable five-star rating from Digital Spy in their review.
