On Instagram, Adrian Araouzou from the show “Married At First Sight” was photographed spending affectionate moments with his previous co-star, Bronte Schofield. This comes after he faced criticism for showing appreciation towards her steamy bikini photos online.

In a casual setting, The 36-year-old proprietor of a sportswear brand based in Sydney was spotted hanging out with Bronte, who is 29 years old, at the Cottesloe Beach Club in Perth, even though he remains paired with Awhina Rutene on the show.

As Adrian, I stood next to Bronte, beaming widely, clad in a comfortable white button-up shirt, light beige trousers, and pristine white sneakers that added a touch of casual elegance to my attire.

It’s being reported that some people close to the situation have said that Adrian sent secret late-night messages to another person while Awhina wasn’t aware, and later on, this was disclosed by Bronte in an intense off-camera argument among the group.

Appearing to set up another reality romance before their current relationship’s issues are resolved, Adrian seems poised for a new romantic endeavor, even as the experiment is still ongoing with Awhina.

In conversation with Daily Mail Australia, Awhina, aged 30, acknowledged that the Final Task had merely brought to light underlying problems in their relationship.

‘We’d been living in this fake bubble. Nothing real was being addressed,’ Awhina said.

As a devoted admirer, I yearned for tranquility rather than continuous strife, yet when the assignment compelled us to ponder, it became apparent that there were lingering uncertainties on my part regarding our bond.

Adrian found it difficult when I called him out on something, as he often perceived my expression of feelings as a criticism. Instead of addressing the issue constructively, he would typically respond by undermining my character.

‘No apology. No accountability.’

On Wednesday evening, Awhina arrived at the gathering noticeably distressed, and expressed that Adrian had neglected to provide emotional support during her most difficult moments.

She had hoped to find a life companion, but at that time, he failed to appear as more than just an acquaintance, she explained.

The caregiver mentioned that the actions displayed by Adrian during the entire series had caused significant strain on both her mental and physical well-being.

‘I was physically unwell, overwhelmed, and he showed zero self-awareness,’ she said.

‘I truly felt like he was actively trying to hurt me – that’s his fighting style.’

Contrary to the on-screen image, Awhina admitted that during the experiment, there were instances when she contemplated leaving earlier than planned.

‘After friends and family week, I was ready to pack up and go,’ she revealed.

‘Then when he left and went on a date with Sierra [Swepstone], I was done.’

Awhina chose to continue with the experiment, as she didn’t wish to face criticism or backlash from fans, which she described as being “ripped apart.

‘I was scared,’ Awhina explained.

I observed the consequences when Eliot missed a dinner party, as he was publicly criticized on live television. I wanted to avoid experiencing something like that myself.

Awhina mentioned that she’s yet to receive an apology from Adrian, despite the cameras no longer recording.

Ahwina asserted that there has never been a genuine apology. To this day, she continues to receive messages from him stating, “It’s your fault I appear this way on television.” In simpler terms, Ahwina stated that no sincere apology has ever been made and she still receives messages blaming her for his TV appearance.

‘It’s always someone else’s fault — the edit, production, me. Never him.’

She said that the situation may have been different if Adrian could own up to his actions.

She mentioned that it would be truly heartening if Adrian admitted, ‘Hey, I noticed some very troubling actions from myself and I apologize,’ but such a confession has never been made. This was her statement.

Surprisingly, Awhina disclosed that unlike the other participating pairs, she and Adrian hadn’t parted ways prior to their Final Vows – a departure from the usual tradition within this experiment.

‘We were supposed to spend time apart to reflect. But we never did,’ Awhina said.

Adrian was always nearby, even during private filming sessions. There wasn’t a single moment when I could enjoy solitude and reflect on my own thoughts.

She added that she felt suffocated by Adrian’s behaviour. 

He was constantly complimenting us, trying to persuade me with his perspective, and it felt overwhelming to the point where I found it hard to breathe,” she explained.

In the midst of all the confusion, it was Jamie Marinos, another bride, who turned out to be a valuable friend and confidante for Awhina during the experiment.

Awhina mentioned that Jamie has been a pillar of support for her. She regularly reaches out to check on Awhina, not for attention or recognition, but simply because Jamie truly cares about her.

The tears you witness on the screen are genuine. Our bodies physically could not endure the pain we experienced. We underwent a deeply distressing ordeal.

As Final Vows are approaching soon, it appears nearly certain that Awhina has ended her relationship with Adrian.

During the experiment, there were numerous vague discussions. All I desired was for him to stop concealing himself under the guise of divine purpose, and instead, express honesty, as she expressed.

‘He didn’t even show up as a friend.

When asked if she had any final messages for Adrian, Awhina’s response was more than telling. 

‘Nothing,’ she replied bluntly. 

‘There’s nothing more to say.’
