Andrew Scott’s “terrific” real-life period drama lands new UK streaming home

The drama Blue Moon, featuring Andrew Scott and Ethan Hawke, is now available to stream in the UK. After its release in US theaters last year, you can now watch it on Sky Cinema and NOW.

The 1943-set film Blue Moon stars Ethan Hawke as Lorenz Hart, one of the famous songwriting pair Rodgers and Hart, alongside Scott as Richard Rodgers.

I just learned the movie is actually based on real letters written by Elizabeth Weiland, who Margaret Qualley portrays so well! Bobby Cannavale is in it too, which is awesome.

The film Blue Moon primarily takes place in one restaurant and centers around Hart’s experience on opening night of the musical Oklahoma!, which was created by his longtime partner Rodgers and new collaborator Oscar Hammerstein II.

Despite the enthusiastic praise for Oklahoma!, Hart is battling feelings of insecurity and realizing that Rodgers is pursuing other projects.
