In January 2024, it was disclosed that the actress had been cast as Chloe. However, by March, another announcement followed stating that she would no longer appear in the TV show set in Thailand.

Based on reports from Deadline, the producers may have felt it necessary to cast someone who could convincingly portray a character of advanced age.

In episode six, writer-director Mike White raised the stakes significantly when it became clear that Lochlan had engaged in an intimate act with his brother, during their intoxicated evening together.

Saxon felt shocked when Chloe, a local resident, recounted the incident to him, and later on, Lochlan recalled the same events as he found himself apart from his brother.

Speaking to Variety about the storyline, Sam admited it was ‘weird’ kissing Patrick.

He mentioned that it felt strange to kiss Patrick as he is a close friend of mine. Moreover, I should add that we both identify as heterosexual, which made the situation even more unusual.

‘Patrick was already like a brother to me. It felt sort of f**ked up.’

Additionally, Sam talked about shooting the intimate scene with Charlotte Le Bon and mentioned: ” frankly, we hadn’t known her before. Yet, it seemed as though she understood that our creator, Mike White, wouldn’t choose an unsuitable actress for a questionable part.
