Clash of Clans Training Time removed: What changes for players in the new system

Story Highlights

  • A fresh UI and Army Recipes feature make army management smoother and easy to share.
  • Players can attack as much as they want, with storage capacity being the only restriction.
  • A new matchmaking system with Match Anytime ensures players always find bases to attack without clouds interrupting.

After a significant revamp in “Clash of Clans” scheduled for the March 2025 “Clash Anytime” update, the key adjustments involve eliminating the need for Troop, Spell, and Siege Machine Training time. This alteration has sparked much debate among players, with many trying to grasp how this change will be executed.

To clarify why these changes are important, I’ll explain the significant modifications in training times for Clash of Clans, as part of the upcoming update, along with their implications for your gameplay.

Clash of Clans Training Time removed: New changes explained

Training expenses were abolished long ago, and now Supercell is going one better by eradicating the need for training time altogether. This implies that you can swiftly assemble your army at any moment and engage in battles immediately.

New Army UI and Army Recipes feature

As a fervent supporter, I’m thrilled about the upcoming refresh in the developer’s latest video. They’re introducing a sleek, uncluttered user interface designed to streamline army management. Not only does it promise to make things easier, but it also catches the eye with its stylish look. This time around, heroes will be displayed on a significantly larger screen, and all aspects of your army can now be viewed together in one convenient place.

As a gamer, starting from now, I’ve got a game-changer – the Army Recipe feature! This isn’t your ordinary save option; it lets me design, store, and recall entire armies on the fly. It’s not just about troops and spells, oh no, it also encompasses Heroes, Pets, and Clan Castle requests.

This is a game-saver for pro players like myself and those striving to reach the Legend League. Now, switching between different attack strategies feels like a breeze!

No loot limit and ‘unlimited battles abuse’ prevention

Without needing any warm-up period, one might question whether there’s a cap on the rewards (loot). To clarify, there isn’t. Feel free to strike as often as you wish and gather as many rewards (loot) as possible. However, limitations such as storage capacity and the Builder will still control how much you can accumulate.

In order to stop automated programs from exploiting endless battles, a fresh rule has been implemented: your troops will keep fighting in a battle until it’s over. Consequently, you won’t be allowed to initiate a new fight until your current one is completely finished. This regulation extends to the Builder Base, Clan Capital, and Home Village.

Clan Castle Donations will be through resources, more faster too

With the passing of training time, the way troop donations work has shifted. Now, rather than preparing troops for donation, you can directly use Elixir or Dark Elixir to instantly donate these resources. The one-gem donations continue unchanged, with the gem icon still serving as a marker, and the option to switch between them is available, though I’m confident that you won’t find the need.

To maintain a consistent supply in Clan Castles, we’re cutting down the donation request wait time from 20 minutes to 10 minutes for everyone. If you have a Gold Pass, this can drop as low as 2 minutes, offering an extra perk for premium users.

Trophy System will favour ‘slower advancements’

In order to maintain a balanced playing field, we’re adjusting the trophy rewards for one-star and two-star wins. This change aims to slow down the progress of players and prevent them from reaching advanced levels too quickly, which could make the game overly easy due to the infinite battle option.

If you manage to grab victories with ratings of two or three stars on a regular basis, you’ll continue to collect trophies at a decent rate. Although this update doesn’t bring any significant alterations to the Legend League, there might be some adjustments made in the near future.

Match Anytime

Supercell is introducing a new server technology known as Match Anytime, designed to address the problem of prolonged cloudy periods in battles. With this innovation, there will be readily accessible bases for you to attack, even during your idle moments, essentially allowing you to engage with an image of another player’s base.

If you place your base within a protective shield, it remains safe from enemy attacks and you retain your trophies. However, should you choose to attack another player’s base, even while under a shield, you can still claim their loot and trophies. The developers encourage players to use shields frequently as they ensure that you won’t lose your hard-earned trophies when defending.
