Jacqueline Jossa Fights for £34k as In The Style Faces £11M Financial Collapse

It’s been disclosed that Jacqueline Jossa is owed a substantial amount, which includes five figures, by the financially troubled clothing company, In The Style.

Last month, the actress from EastEnders, who is 32 years old, openly criticized the company for not paying an overdue amount and is said to have sought legal advice after stating that her attempts to contact them went unanswered.

Now, it’s clear how much Jacqueline’s agents are owed by In The Style, following the fast-fashion company’s official filing for administration on March 10, which left them with a debt of approximately £11 million.

As an ardent admirer, I’ve delved into the public records at Companies House and found something quite intriguing – it appears that Jacqueline’s management firm, InterTalent, is yet to receive a substantial sum of £34,202.

In the meantime, Touch Management, a company that manages celebrities such as Charlotte Dawson, is yet to receive a payment of approximately £4,800 due to the ongoing insolvency proceedings.

According to documents filed on March 21, it has been uncovered that The Style owes a staggering sum of approximately £11,373,827.25 to a total of 201 creditors.

TopMob has contacted In The Style for comment. Jacqueline’s representatives declined to comment.

If a company is drowning in debt and is unable to repay what it owes, it may enter into a form of financial management called administration. In such a case, the company could eventually be forced into liquidation, a process where it sells off its assets to pay back its outstanding debts.

Creditors, or entities a company is indebted to, have the option to petition the court for payment of their outstanding debts.

Back in 2013, Adam Frisby established In The Style, but it got bought by the British private equity company Baaj Capital for 1.2 million pounds in March of 2023.

In December 2023, Ben Armstrong took over as managing director following Frisby’s departure from the role, however, he later chose to depart from the company himself.

In 2020, Jacqueline, who had recently separated from Dan Osborne, secured a deal with an online clothing company estimated to be valued at around £1 million.

Last month, Jacqueline openly criticized In The Style because she alleged they hadn’t paid her what was due and stated that she wasn’t receiving any replies from their staff.

On her Instagram Stories, Jacqueline expressed: ‘For four wonderful years, I’ve been part of In The Style. However, due to lack of communication with the company, I find myself having to make a difficult decision. In essence, my time with the brand has come to an end.’

Despite not receiving payment for several months, my name and likeness continue to be prominently featured across the site, aiding in the successful sale of their stock.

She went on to say: ‘I notice they are bringing in new people and releasing fresh lines, and I believe it’s my duty to inform the new recruits that their contracts might not be fulfilled and they may not receive payment.’

Following my warning about going public, last week, I was scheduled for a call with our Managing Director during one of the most hectic weeks in my career at EE live. Unfortunately, he failed to attend the call, leaving me and my team stranded on the line for nearly 20 minutes before we ended it. Since then, he hasn’t responded to any of my emails.

Jacqueline stated that she hasn’t openly voiced opinions about the brands she collaborated with, but now finds it impossible to continue shielding one that disregards her, as well as other girls who haven’t received their due payment.

She implored: “All I sought was a friendly departure and to receive what I rightfully deserve. If you too have experienced such mistreatment, don’t hesitate to send me a message. For now, ladies, I strongly advise you to give that place a second thought before making any purchases!

I believe you might recall that I last shared about these topics prior to Christmas. It seems they continue to utilize my photos and market my collections. I’m unaware of where the earnings from this are being directed, but everything feels quite peculiar.

In a gracious gesture, the lead actor acknowledged the gratitude towards former CEO Frisby, as well as his business associate Jamie Corbett, both of whom played significant roles in the company.
